Animal Cruelty

The way those drifters shot my pets tells me the Prophets need to educate people on issues of animal cruelty in our society. We eat them, use their coats to make clothes, and drink their milk. There is no need to kill them so cruelly. How vicious.

Please tell me how such issues handled in your society. Are the perpertrators brought to justice?

Depends on what part of society. I know more of the 'civilized' countries fine and give a person jail time for doing that.

Yes, we have laws governing the treatment of animals in my world. One must not mistreat any type of creature, it says, and treat all those animals under our care in a proper manner. Why, there is a week dedicated to spreading awareness of this issue, duly named "Be Kind to Animals Week".

We have groups for that kinda stuff over here, not that it concerns me. Last animal encounter I had was with a tree-frog that was keepin' me awake, so I personally dealt with it.
