[Rufus is actually having this one recorded for data. Lazard and Rufus are standing outside a small bunker, they have the same expression, they stand the same way and past Rufus' sunglasses, they almost look alike. Rufus talks mostly, and Lazard does not reply.]

This is an old laboratory that is rumored to belong to Hojo. It's supposed to date all the way back before the Midgar-JENOVA war.

[There is a small army with him, but Dark Nation is there too - right by Rufus' side. She gives Lazard a bored expression before looking at Rufus.]



It is quite ironic. You can take the war out of a weapons company, but you cannot take the wars raged against it.

[Rufus looks amused for a moment - he concurs. Lazard pushes up his glasses and asks:]

I take it that the purpose of this mission is to eradicate all record of experimentation upon SOLDIERs and confiscate data. May I inquire as to why we are filming?

Correct. Records - mostly. Some people are idiotic enough to actually trust Hojo as an actual doctor, something I'm sure you're used to.

[There's a signal and the soldiers enter. There are a few shots, and Dark Nation sits up on her hind legs and bolts towards the door. Rufus waits a few minutes before motioning Lazard to follow him. The camera reveals the most disturbing thing- monsters in glass. Some of them are living, preserved, the others have silver hair and have vestigial wings. Lazard gives Rufus a hard stare before Rufus does the oddest thing. He pulls out his handgun and starts killing everything in sight. Some of them fight back, and Dark Nation retaliates.]

Burn the place to the ground, Director we'll handle these. Salvage all research, if any. Kill all the experiments.

[A look to Lazard as he says this:]

It's better they die with dignity than die a mutant losing their humanity.


[Obviously, Rufus has another intention for bringing Lazard here.]
