I haven't been really on the community, that's why I'm confused about all the new people. And I try to stay away from Kadaj's family, because we always end up fighting, and causing problems for other people...

Well, Loz was nice. But Yazoo attacked me with a weird weapon that can get you from really far away. I don't think we can be friends after that.

He attacked me with... I dunno. It was like a machine, and he pointed it at me, and it was like getting punched and stabbed at the same time. I got hit with something, and it went right through my shoulder. It hurt a whole lot.

It was a long time ago. It made me pretty mad, though, because I was there to fight Kadaj and I didn't even know Yazoo was there. He was hiding somewhere.

We don't have anything like that. The closest thing we have is arrows, I think. And lots of different kinds of magic, but I knew it wasn't magic. I never heard of a gun, before. It doesn't sound like a very good machine...

Yeah, no kidding. If they don't go all the way through they usually have to remove them with medical tweezers. Or a knife, if you're not lucky.

Yeah, and it's not fun. I served in Wutai for a bit on the front lines. Never anything too bad, and a Cure materia'll take care of the worst of it, but still something to avoid if you can.

I wanted to protect people. It didn't always turn out that way, though.

Anyway, getting into SOLDIER once was enough for me. Now I'm just gonna mercenary for a living.

A mercenary? That's awesome! My dad was -- well, I think my dad used to be a mercenary. He ven said he was one when I met him, but he was kinda lying. Anyway, I was thinking of doing that when there's nothing else for me to do and I have to get a job.

It's a good way to make a living, although building up a reputation can be the hard part. I'm going to have to start over from scratch since I've been dead so long. Although Edge gets monsters a little more often than Midgar did, so at least there's plenty of work.

Most everyone on my world knows who I am already, probably, so I don't gotta worry about a reputation. How did you get to be not dead, anyway? 'Cause I thought you were a ghost or something...

Oh yeah, I didn't tell you, did I? Aeris and I got gigai from Urahara. We're living in Gaia again with Cloud and everyone.

By machine gun, actually, now that you mention it. And nah, I was outnumbered, but at least I did what I set out to do. Although it could've gone better, that's for sure.

Fake bodies? Are they as good as the real thing? I guess it doesn't matter, though, 'cause it's better than being dead.
