Lucien is being a boring jackass and forcing me to find entertainment elsewhere. But since skinning the first dream I find would probably be frowned upon....

Anyone got any movie suggestions? Blood and gore is preferred, but I'm willing to give anything a shot at this point.

Gee, we're rather bored aren't we now?

Well, since you didn't bother me in my hangover

I'd recommend, 'Clifford'... Yeah.... [Head Nod]

Oh, I'm quite sober now. Don't worry. [Grin]
But thanks for asking.

Yes. It's about... A.. Big... Red.. Dog.

I'd think you'd like it. [Chuckle]

(For the record he's lying though his teeth)

I AM NOT HERE FOR YOUR AMUSEMENT!

Yes! A big red dog... And you know what he does?

How would one go about skinning an intangible idea?

[identity profile] the-air-corsair.livejournal.com 2008-08-22 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
...Sir, it's a dream, not a living thing.

I've seen many things, sir, but even I find that hard to believe.

I've never been particularly enamored with horror films, but I'm sure I could come up with several recommendations in other categories. Do you have any genre or sub-genre preferences aside from 'blood and gore?'

For thrillers the works of Alfred Hitchcock are beyond compare, of course. Assuming you're not already familiar with them, I'd recommend Rope, North by Northwest, Strangers on a Train, and Rear Window.

For action, anything by Akira Kurosawa, or, if you prefer something a bit more recent, Ronin, Léon, MacHale's Gambit, and Lola rennt or Run Lola Run.

((OOC: Made-up movie title ftw! \o/))

Obviously your education in film has been sorely lacking. When you've watched those I'd be willing to give you further recommendations.

I'd recommend anything from Stephen King. He's quite the genius with horror. Even though some movies take ages to watch.

How do you skin a dream?

[identity profile] bloodiedrebirth.livejournal.com 2008-08-23 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
I always thought dreams were a little too intangible to be skinned.

What do they look like?

[identity profile] bloodiedrebirth.livejournal.com 2008-08-25 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
What if one of them looks like a metal box then? How do you skin that?

Oh, but as far as movies go, I've heard the Saw is nice. The first one only. And general Asian horror flicks, though I wasn't all too impressed by the single one I did see.
