Not particularly sure how I stumbled onto this place...rather certain it had something to do with Penelo and vibrantly-colored buttons, however. But since I'm here...it's a pleasure to meet you? ~~Why ever am I doubting the truth of the preceding sentence?~~

I am in no way mocking you, young sir. I've had a teacher such as that...and she was indeed rather intimidating.

Really? What'd she teach you?

Literature. Every single syllable had to be pronnounced the way she wanted. If not...well, I'd rather not even remind myself.

She'd beat you with a ruler?

Yes, that would be the punishment. You'd have to plays your elbows on the desk and...wack, for the lack of any better verb.

So you have to wait for it? Professor Raine always catches you by surprise. I don't know which is worse.

Back in school, I would have given anything to not wait for the impending pain. My professor always dragged everything out, however, and my wish was never granted.

I guess that would be worse, then. I think if I knew the Professor was going to hit me, I'd try to run away.

And run away I tried. There was not much I could do upon coming face to face with a locked door, however.

What does your teacher do?

... Well, usually when she hits me in class, I'm asleep. So it's easy to sneak up on me.

Ah. And so you do not pay attention to classwork?

... I try. Usually. Sometimes.

Any favorite classes?

I like astronomy. But I'm not any good at school, really.

Ah, Astromony is a rather intresting subject. I, personally, have always been interested in maths.

Math?! I can't do that at all. What do you need to know math for?

Well, I happen to be fond of exact studies. I don't believe there is much of a point to studying literature, even though there's a point to reading it. Everyone has their own interpretations, and an agreement is never reached. Math, on the other hand, is something completely exact. There cannot be an arguement on account of 2+2=4. It is that way, period.

But numbers in math class aren't like numbers in real life. In real life, things can always change.

True enough. Numbers can change from three to two to four to twenty, but the fact that 3+3 will always equal 6, and 12+13 will always equal 25 is rather encouraging.

That's true. I wish real life worked like that, sometimes.

Most certainly. That way, it would be impossible to get yourself into any awkward situations.

I think I would pay attention in math if that was the case. Then I could... measure what was going to happen to me!

Ah! Concerning women espcially..measuring is the ticket.
