[he goes to her, concerned]

Ruth! What happened? What's wrong?

[dragging her up, he lies her back along a wooden table, leaning over her]

Ruth?

[he blinks, and suddenly, the girl lying on the table is not Ruth, but--]

... Susie?

[Susie grins at him, looking so completely happy]

You wrote me a poem once. You called yourself "The Moor".

[he just looks at her, speechless-- disbelieving, but also grinning]

[Susie's next words a whisper]
