Wait, it's coming up to the New Year already? Guess you lose all sense of time when every day is practically the same.

Well, hope everyone enjoys their last day of the year then. I'll just be down the coal mine and scraping up some rations for my family as usual. The Capitol will probably be celebrating with parties all round, getting drunk off their faces and eating way more than they need.

As for my New Year's Resolution? If I could resolve to end the Capitol then I would. As it is I'll just settle for working just that little bit harder and praying something comes of Katniss' little stunt in the Games. Even the tiniest ripple would be something.

Sometimes I still wish we could run away.
