I think I killed that poor pharmacist when I asked him for a pregnancy test. Some people are so impressionable...tsk.

Heh, I did, but I knew how to read long before then. I don't remember who taught me how to read. And school was a really long time ago. I quit that when I was nine, almost ten. Course if it hadn't have been so boring it would have been a loss I guess.
[Locked]
I had no idea. I will give you some books.
[Locked]
Yeah, it is, because it's not just war...they're planning on obliterating the country. They're going to kill every citizen.
[Ed tilts his head, confused.] Books about what?
[Locked]
What for? What would that accomplish?
Sex Ed.

We believe they want to make a very large Philosopher's Stone and what that does is amplify someone's alchemy. We're staging a coup to stop this. [Sighs a little.] They don't need citizens to have power. A city, Xerxes was destroyed overnight with a similar array and they are just making it bigger.
Oh. Well, yeah, okay. [Blushing, so much.]
Re: [Locked]
[What the hell. He didn't get half of that explanation.]But if you kill absolutely all the citizens , what does it matter if you are the supreme ruler? You will have no one to order around.
Don't worry, they will be helpful, not embarrassing.

Ah, because he can just take over a new region with all of his power. Amestris is going to be seen as...collateral damage.
Eh, it's all pretty embarrassing. I-I mean this is just not something you talk about.
[Locked]
Don't tell me that you are trying to stop that all by yourself.
Not talking about this is what cause unwanted pregnancies in the first place, Ed.

Not entirely by myself, but if it makes you feel better we are severely outnumbered. I know Al is working on something. Winry's not involved, so don't worry about that. I'm working with two chimeras and Greed, from my world, not the one on the community. I know Mustang's got something up his sleeve with his team, and so does General Armstrong. We're stopping it, but we have to be careful. If we do and don't fully succeed we could all be killed for treason. This is a coup d'etat, in every sense of the word. The amount of people involved in our side or theirs...no idea.
I seriously doubt they tell you anything about it in school. I'd ask Win, but I doubt she stayed much longer after we left since she was into the whole apprentice thing, and I know better than to ask Nellie, there's an inappropriate question if there ever was one! There really is no one to tell me, never has been...so a book would be good. I imagine Granny told Winry, and I'm not about to ask her! She'd kill me for having sex with Winry in the first place, because we're not married!

I saw Greed around, but what do you mean by 'Chimeras'?
They do in high school, it's called 'Sex Education' class. But I understand that different worlds has different ways to do thing. I will send you the books as soon as possible.

A chimera strictly speaking is two beings that have been combined together. This sort of falls into the category of evil things people can do with alchemy. On record, officially, chimeras are all animals combined together, and then the Sewing Life Alchemist made one that understood and spoke human speech. When he made his second it was discovered he used a human being in the making of his chimeras. Officially, the position is that the use or manipulation of a human being is strictly forbidden and punishable by death.
However, it has come to light, at least to me, that the military has been studying the use of chimeras to 'improve' human beings, by making them stronger, and giving them characteristics of animals. All of them that I know of have deflected from the military because to have been a test subject was to lose your life, essentially. The two I am traveling with have been combined with a lion and a gorilla. They still appear human but can 'transform' in a sense.
Knowing about who they are is a sure way to get them and yourself killed, but then again there's so many ways to die around here, navigating them all is a real bitch. I've done a couple of executable things myself.
Thanks, I appreciate it, Kurt.
Re: [Locked]
No wonder the punishment is so hard. Why would anybody want to do that to a human being to get them stronger? That's a monstrosity.
God...

If, committing human transmutation is punishable by death...if that rule were strongly enforced, at eleven they'd have put me in front of the firing squad. Instead they recruited me. Kind of a nasty business the military. Let's hope this whole coup works. I'd hate to have to be shot for treason.
