Oh, he has, has he?

[It's entirely possible that he's got a whole library's worth of pet names for the Enterprise.]

[She whispers,] He calls her Sexy.

[He looks amused. Probably because no doubt he's called the Enterprise similar before.]

Aye? An' is she?

Well as a woman she was pretty nice, but as a ship? Sexy isn't what I'd call her.

I can tell you're not an engineer. [He's teasing. Mostly.]

No, definitely not. [She chuckles.] I leave all that to him.

I realize we're driftin' a bit off-topic, but I don't suppose you could tell me any more about this sexy TARDIS, could you?

Sure! Let's see, well it looks like a blue police box on the outside, and on the inside it's much, much bigger. I think it's a different dimension or something. [Shows how much she listens.]

And it's a spaceship and a time machine. When you walk in the front doors, it's the console room, and there's all these levers and gadgets and bits and bobs around this central... glass thing. [What was that thing called again? Amy shrugs it off.]

Then there's staircases leading out into countless corridors that have countless rooms.

...why a blue police box?

[Clearly that is the most important question for the time being, though he'll want to know more about that 'bigger on the inside' business, too.]

I dunno. It got stuck that way and he likes it so... [She shrugs.] That's what it is.

How d'you mean, got stuck that way?

Ehm, well the TARDIS can look like anything on the outside to blend in. But I guess the thing that's meant to change the outside got stuck on police box.

So... she's got a small, visible outside hull with some sort o' camouflage mechanism, an' the smaller outside hull contains the larger portion o' the ship inside, possibly in a self-contained pocket dimension? That's brilliant.

Yeah, that about sums it up! It's amazingly brilliant.

D'you think... d'you think it'd be possible for me t'get t'take a look at her sometime?

Hmm, I don't know. You could ask the Doctor, or have me ask for you, but the way he invites people aboard, I'm sure it won't be a problem.

I've spoken with him before, if that helps. And I can arrange for my own worldhop.

Dunno if you can hop straight into the TARDIS because of the shields, but we could lower them for you, or maybe you could meet us somewhere?

As long I get coordinates t'lock onto, I could meet you somewhere.

All right well, I'm rubbish at that side of things, but if you ask the Doctor he could rattle those coordinates off easily.
