[Green eyes peer over the top of a box, older than they should be and curious before child-sized hands reach out and pull the box down, smiling brightly.]
Shuichi! [Kurama, making the face that all seven year olds with their hands caught in the cookie char make, winces and peers down from his place on a ladder to look at a small, gray haired older lady, her foot tapping.] What are you doing?
Just looking, Obaasan.
Looking where you shouldn't, in your elder's things. [Her voice is stern, but her eyes, brown and not unusual like her grandson's, are fond.] What are you doing with that old kimono?
I like the colors, they're pretty.
[She sighs, shaking her head and taking the box from him.] Of course. Well, if we're going to relive my younger days you should have someone who knows how to treat them with respect.
[Kurama smiles and all but leaps down from the ladder, coming to rest at her side] Thank you, 'Baasan!
Go wash your hands, you've been eating enough azuki bean paste to make a kitsune content for a year.
[Kurama nods and makes his way towards the kitchen, and the daydream fades out with him]

There'a another virus going on?

It... would seem so, though I'm not sure what this one is supposed to be.

I'm not sure either, but that kimono looked good on you.

Thank you, they're from my grandmother's old days as a geisha, before she retired.

A geisha? Oh, that's not an easy job.

Indeed it's not, but she was quite talented, or so I was told as a child. She only retired because she wanted a family; I suspect had she not she would have continued on until she developed her arthritis.

How have you been? Seems to be a pleasant dream you had.

I've been well, and yes. It was. Yourself?

Glad to hear that the community hasn't gotten to you!
Eh, same old! Nothing new to really report.
no subject
Really? No new mass cattle deaths or strange circles in corn fields?

...HuffPo needs to either *get* editors or retrain them. Because. What did I just read?
They seriously need to. I had a really hard time believing that someone actualy posted this bs.
I'm not sure if I'm more surprised that they reprinted this or that the *BBC* printed it first.
Do wallabies even weigh enough to force the plants down in the way of crop circles? Are there even enough of them in one place at one time? Because they must be amazingly coordinated even when high to pull something like that off.
Either way it's kind of pitiful!
