[The daydream opens to the living room of a small New York apartment. An eight-year-old Suze is sitting contently on the couch, eating a bowl of fruit loops and watching cartoons. A pleasant man enters the room and gives her a kiss on the top of her head.
Morning, sweetheart.
Morning, Dad.
Want to go for a walk with me?
I'm watching cartoons, Dad.
Alright, alright.
The man turns to leave, while Suze's eyes are still glued to the television. Suddenly she blinks and looks up. She puts down her cereal and bounds off the couch.
Wait for me! I changed my mind!
She grabs her father's hand. He smiles down at her and laughs as they exit the apartment.]
