[It seemed that the community had the power to gaze into the soul's of those who visited it, drawing out the sins or virtues that lurked beneath the surface. In that respect, it was not unlike the One Ring. The time of Faramir's temptation has passed - he knew that he would not take it now, even if it was offered to him - but there had been a moment, a long and terrible moment, when he had thought to take it from Frodo and hand it over to his father, finally proving himself to be the equal of his brother. He had believed that any traces of envy that had lurked within him had been extinguished at the same time as those foolish desires. Now, however, that sin burned free and bright in his chest.
He was jealous of his brother and the place that Boromir held in his father's heart.

He was jealous, most of all, of the freedom and happiness available to those in worlds beyond Middle-earth, a kingdom shrouded in a darkness that it did not deserve.]
It is difficult, at times, to visit this community. I grow tired of observing worlds were the hope and happiness that has long since deserted my own people can be seen so clearly.

"It seems the future is in general is in better shape than our time." [They might not be from the same time in reality, but generally speaking...]
"Perhaps that means we did a good job?"

"What's happening where you are that's brought on this dark mood of yours?"

Nothing, sire. I simply find myself with time to think.

[He sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose.]
"Thinking can be dangerous I find. You'd be better off going on a hunt."
