Things are looking up. I feel a lot better now. My back doesn't even hurt anymore. In fact, I got a chance to take a nice, long walk today. Beautiful weather. Nice people around here.
A great day, all in all. How's your day been?
[The walk hadn't been too long, as he figured that Aya might end up worried about him, but he did enjoy being out on his own. It wasn't that he didn't enjoy the redhead's company. He just wanted a little while on his own to do some thinking.
He'd been back a while before he slipped quietly into Aya's room, glancing around before he noticed the book on the beside table. Smiling, he snagged the book and settled something between the pages, then he padded back out and headed to his room to get comfy in his own bed. If Aya didn't find what he'd left right away, it would last.
For once, Ken could wait.]

He didn't notice the book right away since he was grabbing clothes to get dressed in. However, it was hard not to notice that the book had been moved when he turned around. Blinking, he went over to it and picked it up to see what had happened. Since the flower hadn't been in there that long, it was easy to find the location. Staring at it, he let his mind wrap around the fact that it was there before he left the book on his bed and took the flower with him to go to Ken's room.]
Ken?

Hm?

A lilac... [Yes, he knows the meaning of that. He's a florist too.]
no subject
... yeah. I found a little shop a few blocks away and picked it up.

And hid it in my book.

[There was the smallest of smiles on Ken's face now.]

How was your walk?

It was nice. I think I might miss this place when we leave. There's some really nice people around here.

I was thinking of keeping this place as a safe house for the future.

... it's getting long.

[He watched Ken's hand for a moment before looking back at his face.]
I should probably get it cut.
no subject
Or short.

[Still, he might let it grow out again.]

... sorry I didn't ask you to join me on my walk.

It's alright. I can't exactly follow you everywhere you go.

[He was listening for the door.]

[And I missed you went unsaid.]

[Sitting up didn't seem as interesting now so he slipped down a bit to stretch out next to Ken.]
