[there is a little girl with ringlets sitting in River's room today, and she appears to have... made a fort? she's peering out at the community over one of the carefully constructed walls of her mattress safehouse.]

Ni hao. I'm on a mission. [she holds up a scrap of paper.] It's top-secret, but the instructions for the mission say that I should introduce myself. I'm Secret Agent River Tam, on duty. I came in late and missed the mission debriefing, but I have it all here.

The first step of my mission is to get out of here before I get caught by the bad guys! [she looks around for the supposed "bad guys", then glances at her scrap of paper and stage-whispers to the community.] I'm supposed to ask for an escape route from my comrades. That's you guys. The mission information says I need a "worldhop", which is some kind of codeword, right? If someone knows what that means, I need one!

[she fumbles with the paper and starts reading directly from it now.] And I have a message to relay from the boss. It says, "She's been misplaced. Normality will restore itself shortly. Remove her from this space until then. Handle with care. There is a list of the pre-approved to prevent trickery. A plague is not incomparable. She's precocious."

[the little River looks at the community expectantly.]

... A world-hop is a term referring to transportation between universes. I assume your... boss... wants you elsewhere while you're in this state.

I'm not in any state. And duh, I'm supposed to be getting off this ship. It's my first test—

[she actually looks at Castiel now, and she stops suddenly. and then she dives back into her fort and comes up with another piece of paper. she looks from it to him and back again, and her expression is sort of amazed.]

... Are you my angel? The boss was right. He said— [she clears her throat and tries to look calm and collected again.] I mean, I was informed as to the possibility of your arrival.

[she turns the new piece of paper over to show him and it is... an incredibly accurate and detailed sketch of Castiel, with writing beside it; "your angel. trustworthy. one of the highest-ranking officers. listen close."]

he nods. river obviously knew what she was doing, so he'll try and follow her lead. ] That's right. My name is Castiel.

[she nods, mildly smug.] I knew it. Your name is on the list of agents. Oh— it has footnotes!

[she ducks into her fort while she reads them. apparently footnotes are very exciting!!! after a bit of murmuring, she resurfaces, still going over the paper.]

The boss says that you're a potential ally for escape, but you might have missions of your own to do, so I shouldn't bother you if you do. [she looks up at him.] Are you on a mission right now, Castiel?

I have a larger mission that has been ongoing for some time now, but - to tell the truth, I've hit a dead end currently. Unless something else comes up, I have nothing urgent that needs attending to.

You're on the list. You're one of the high rank agents. [she sounds pretty impressed.] Castiel says I have to ask you who I should get my world-hop from. I'm going to his world, but he can't do it, and I don't have a name on my list for it.
