[the scene opens up to show a small bedroom-- Astor and a younger boy are asleep]

[suddenly, the door bursts open and a woman who some might recognize as Rita Bennett bursts in and quickly moves between their beds, talking quietly]

Wake up, wake up, come on...

[she picks up the boy and hurries Astor out in front of her; they exit the room, head to the front door, and leave the house with nothing but the PJs they're wearing and the woman's purse and keys]
