[ Dramadramaduck, you have a lovely view of Harry sitting in front of a large mirror, staring into it and paying no mind to anything else. It's a mirror! High as the ceiling and in a pretty frame. ...though nothing's particularly special about a mirror.

It's that you're not getting only Harry's reflection in that. It should be reflecting Harry's DDD book since the camera is directly facing it but--- nope. Ladies and Gentlemen, The Mirror of Erised.

What is shows is more or less "the deepest most desperate desire of your heart" For example: Harry's seeing his entire family-- maybe a couple of people that left the community and he misses. Everyone else looking is seeing something different. ]

[Severus is surprised to find his book turn on and show the young Gryffindor in front of the Mirror. He knows what it is and why it is there having helped Dumbledore with the protection of the Philosopher's Stone. However, he had managed to not look at it while it was being placed. This time he is not so lucky as he is caught by surprise.

The older wizard sees someone in the mirror that Harry would recognize - Lily. But she is older, laughing, arm and arm with a man who is Severus but, at the same time, isn't Severus. He looks happier - lighter. His face is bright and eyes joyful. He is clearly enamored with the lovely redhead on his arm and just loving life.

Back in reality, Severus quickly wipes away the tears that are threatening to fall. His life, perhaps, had he made different choices - the deepest most desperate desire of his heart. He tries to shut the damn book but it refuses so instead he turns away, trying to ignore it.]

[He blinks curiously at the mirror. Like Harry, he sees two people with him; a male and female fox to be exact. However he doesn't recognize them and he can't see their faces very well. He also sees himself in some super form (http://i44.tinypic.com/nn71aq.png) that was very different than the time Sonic gave him and Knuckles chaos energy to be able to fight alongside him against Metal Sonic.

He's not exactly sure what to say or how to react to that. He does look away after a while of having it sink in.]

[Harry's reflection quickly faded out of site, replaced by an older version of herself, probably in her early to mid-thirties. She's not alone. James is to her left side, same age as her. Between them is a scar-less Harry in his Hogwarts robes, one arm belonging to either parent wrapped around his shoulders. It doesn't end there. On Lily's other side is Petunia. She's older too, but happier and hugging Lily. A shadowed-out man and male child about Harry's age are standing on Petunia's right. The man not fitting the figure of Vernon. The son in Hogwarts robes, magical blood seeping through into Petunia's son.

A happy family, contrary to her sister's behaviour nearly two summers back. A mended relationship between sisters. A kinder husband for the elder. Free of a prophecy she doesn't know of....

Lily waits a few minutes before fiddling around with her book and turning on the video reply.]

What is that and where did you find it?

[ Takes a second before blinking at her ] Huh? Oh... I don't know. It was just here.

[ Harry's not the only one getting to see his family right now. Happy. Yuri sounds really shaken up by this. ]

[He doesn't meant to leave any reply at all, but the community has its own plans. It catches Chloe with his eyes watering from whatever it is he sees in the mirror.]

[While he's not letting on what he sees in the mirror, the look on his face is a bit bitter and more than a little sad.]

[James didn't expect to see another post by Harry so soon and checked it immediately. What he saw confused him, yet again. The mirror was showing him to be older than he was. A lot older. And his parents were there, standing behind him. Lily and Harry were also there, along with Remus, Sirius, Peter, Ferb and Roxas. After a moment, he turned away.]

What is that thing?

[ He sort of double takes then keeps his eyes on the mirror while he answers ]

[The sight catches Scrooge off guard. In fact, he doesn't even consider that someone might hear or see him when a murmur tumbles out of his mouth:]

[He's not sure what he's looking at, exactly...but the mirror has to be enchanted. He sees his own parents staring back at him if he looks hard enough, but he doesn't imagine that's what has Harry so fascinated.]

[Despite himself, Faramir was startled by what he saw in the mirror. He saw his mother and a version of his father entirely different - good humoured and content - to the man that he knew. His brother was there as well, standing alongside his friends in a Middle-earth that was finally at peace.

As he watched, the Lady Éowyn took his hand, the love that Faramir felt for her reflected in her warm smile and beautiful eyes.]

[Edward is staring at the mirror. He is staring at his reflection, red stone in his hand and his little brother - pudgey, smiling and far too young for the age he should be, but Ed has a hard time imagining that, it's just how he remembers Al. And of course, Trisha behind them both, her arms around them and a bright smile.]
