So how does one transport sensitive pieces of genetic information through multidimensional travel? For curiosity sake only.

Are you sure this is a good idea?

[Locked]

[personal profile] grimdarkseer 2012-01-09 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
And how confident are you that this will work?

As long as you are remaining realistic about this. I...disappointment is a bitter pill to swallow, even when the matter at hand is not the salvation of an entire race.

I wouldn't do that if I were you.
docfoul: (I have been expecting you.)

[personal profile] docfoul 2012-01-09 10:05 pm (UTC)(link)
What if I told you there are ways of restoring the Matriorb that are more likely to work than handing it over to mad scientists?
docfoul: (Allow me to share a mindblowing twist.)

[personal profile] docfoul 2012-01-09 10:13 pm (UTC)(link)
In theory, it is possible to alchemize a Matriorb.
docfoul: (I am an excellent host.)

[personal profile] docfoul 2012-01-09 10:19 pm (UTC)(link)
And a place for it to mature, yes?
docfoul: (I have been expecting you.)

[personal profile] docfoul 2012-01-09 10:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, I think so too. Frankly, once you get past the initial hurdle of creating a viable Matriorb, the rest should be easy.
docfoul: (This is me giving a fuck.)

[personal profile] docfoul 2012-01-09 10:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Because I want you to think very carefully about who you hand the future of your race to.

Do you have a cooler?
screwloose: (The Doctor is In)

[personal profile] screwloose 2012-01-10 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
Keeping it cold - not frozen, just cool - is a good rule of thumb. It'll slow down decomposition so we don't lose the sample.

[personal profile] screwloose 2012-01-11 05:31 am (UTC)(link)
That sounds perfect~
touchofgenius: (^_^)

[personal profile] touchofgenius 2012-01-10 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
If you give me the time, I can get someone to worldhop a small vat for you to use. I've used them in the past to contain severed limbs and the like. They keep diseases from getting in or out too.

...Of course that might be a bit excessive. Franken's right; a cooler would probably work for our purposes.
touchofgenius: (Ha ha ha ha)

[personal profile] touchofgenius 2012-01-10 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
Nah, I trust you with a cooler.
