Pearl's dragged a chair into the console room and is sat in front of what must be a screen, looking bored but content. ]

Hi everyone! I caught a ride home from that odd party the other day with the Doctor, but instead of taking us straight back to my world the TARDIS brought us to this strange planet for some reason. We're not really sure why... I guess the co-ordinates must have been slightly wrong or something. Anyway, the Doctor went out to investigate just in case it was important, but he said I should stay here. [ The smallest of refined sighs. She looks a little bit put out about that. ]

I guess I can understand that it might be dangerous, but he's been gone for ages! I had a little look around the TARDIS, but it's so big in here I was scared I'd get lost if I went too far. But I don't know how much longer he'll be gone, so--

[ -- and then Pearl gasps as the lights suddenly flicker for a second or two and a very eerie collection of voices says: We require your assistance.

Then it's gone. But Pearl looks shocked and a little pensive. ] Oh my gosh... but that was...

Um, community? Is it okay to disobey someone to warn them about something, even if you've been told to stay put?

I think it might have just gotten a lot more exciting without me realizing it! That was a powerful burst of spiritual energy in the TARDIS just now. There must be some kind of ghost on this planet!

It would probably be a lot more fun if you were here, Mileina. At least then I wouldn't be on my own if I get lost trying to find the Doctor...

Maybe you could phone him! If he has a mobile phone at that point, that is. Going outside might not be the very best of ideas, if you're not sure where he's gone. Proper emergency protocol is very important to observe at times like these!

I don't think this Doctor has a cell phone, or I would have called him already... but I've got mine, so if I do get into trouble I'll be able to call the community right away. Do you think that would count as proper protocol?

Well, you see, that's the confusing thing, sir! There's definitely something with a strong spiritual presence living on this planet, but I'm not sure if it's alive or dead.

Um... [ looking around, looking around... ] Well, I think I saw a bat of some kind when I was exploring the TARDIS before. And I have my cell phone. Would that do?

You said there was a computer. Does it say anything about any beings?

I'm checking now... all it says about this planet is that all the intelligent physical life vanished ages ago. It doesn't really say anything else. I guess it really is a mystery.

The Doctor I know does, so maybe he just doesn't have one yet! In any case, I think that is certainly close enough to protocol to be safe!

I guess that must be it. Everything in here does seem a little retro, so that might make sense. Well anyway, I guess that means I can go look for him now, right?
