text; Jane's Magical Virus Research (v.7)

I thought for the New Year I would post this first one in the main community for the new people.

Hi, I'm Jane. I'm sure you've all heard about what a virus is from somebody. Just to make sure you know what to expect or if nobody actually did tell you, I put together a little guide after studying it all of last year.

What is a virus?
+ A virus is an event or change for the members of the on the community that takes more than one form.
+ Viruses are usually large scale, effecting more than half the community or select a handful of people.
+ Viruses are always temporary.
+ There is no cure for a virus. You have to wait it out.
+ On occasion there is an 'Individual Virus' where only one or two members of the community may be affected.
+ If you believe you are the only one under a virus and talked to Eris ([personal profile] chaosgoddess) prior to it then it might not be the community and I recommend consulting her. Please consult nicely.

What can happen during a virus?
+ You could find yourself another gender, or another age, height, species, mentality or even in another time. See the list of known viruses for examples.
+ There's a possibility that instead of a virus/along with a virus the community will send you on a trip/vacation (IE: To DisneyLand) or have you post secrets anonymously via Itsuki Koizumi ([personal profile] philoxidizes)
+ A Multi-Virus is a time when multiple viruses occur and everyone seems to be under an individual one.
+ Any one individual may experience side-effects longer than others or experience more than one virus during the week of a multi.
+ You can't have more than one virus at once.
+ If you get sent somewhere in clothes other than your own then you get to keep them.

When do they happen?
+ A virus doesn't happen in the first week of the month. The earliest known date for a virus is the 10th of the month.
+ There's always one between the 18th and the 29th.
+ There's approximately 2 viruses per month. One long and one short.
+ The long virus usually happens towards the end of the month and averages out to 3 days in length.
+ If the long virus is 2 days, the short one is only 1 day and there is an event as well.
+ Two months out of the year will have nothing but a multi-virus in it.
+ The multi-virus can last anywhere from 5-10 days.
+ If one plans a big enough party for a month a virus may be skipped.
+ A New Year's party counts for January.

DramaDramaDuck Virus-Related Trivia:
+ The community really likes Halloween.
+ The community prefers red/pink over blue.
+ If the community feels like celebrating it may send you a cake and glitter.

...Yeah. I know it's blank. We haven't had one yet.
I'll repost and update this every month.

My (Possibly and Probably Inaccurate) Predictions for February:
-- One short virus on Valentine's Day and Yuri has a party.
-- OR The community throws its own party where everyone is under a virus.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Hm. Well, I suppose it won't be a problem. Is there any forewarning?
