another video canon move | Let's Kill Hitler
[A video comes on to show a busted-up war room with Nazi decor. Amy, Rory, and the Eleventh Doctor are standing around a man in uniform lying on the ground. Mels is standing near some rubble with both hands on her stomach.]
Hitler...
What about him?
Lousy shot.
[Her breathing gets a little heavier as she falls onto a broken table. All three run over, Amy calling her name, the Doctor calling for Rory, Rory saying "nonononono!"]
I've got to stop the bleeding.
[The video goes to static for minute before coming back. The TARDIS trio is crouched around Mels, Amy stroking her hair.]
How bad is it Rory, what can we do?
Just keep her conscious. Stay with us, Mels!
Hey, look at me. Just hold on.
I used to... dream about you. All those stories Amy used to tell me.
What stories? Tell me what stories. Vampires in Venice, that's a belter!
When I was... little. I was gonna marry you.
Good idea. Let's get married. You stay alive and I'll marry you, deal? Deal?
Shouldn't you ask my parents' permission?
As soon as your better, I'll get them on the phone.
Might as well do it now, since they're both right here.
[Besides Mels' labored breathing, there's silence as the trio look between each other for a good minute before looking back at Mels. She gives them the tiniest of nods.]
Penny in the air.
[No one's able to say anything, not until after Mels' hands start to glow yellow with a sort of shimmer leaking around them. Anyone who has seen one of the newer Doctors regenerate should be able to recognise the effect. Eleven gets on his feet and takes a step back as Mels looks at her hands, absolutely fascinated.]
Penny drops.
[Rory backs up next.]
What the hell's going on?
BACK BACK BACK GET BACK.
[Eleven grabs at Amy's and Rory's arms, yanking them back as the regeneration glow gets brighter and flows after her. Mels stands up again, studying her hands still. Her parents and Eleven are standing in front of Hitler's desk when they stop.]
Last time I did this I... I ended up a toddler. In the middle of New York.
Okay, Doctor. Explain what is happening. Please.
Mels. Short for--
Melody.
Yeah, I named my daughter after her.
You named your daughter... after your daughter.
[Rory turns to stare at Eleven, who's still keeping his eyes on Mels, same as Amy.]
Took me years to find you two. So glad I did. Y'see? It all worked out in the end, didn't it? [As she talks, something seems to dawn on Rory.] You got to raise me after all.
You're Melody? [The look on her face matches her tone: complete disbelief.]
But if she's Melody, then that means she's also--
Oh shut up, Dad. [The glowing spreads over her whole body.] I'm focusing on a dress size!
[She scrunches up her eyes as if she's in pain. Automatically, her arms fly out to either side as fiery energy shoots out from her arms and head. Eleven and her parents throw themselves down against the desk in some attempt to avoid the energy. She screams out for the whole 25 seconds it takes for the process to finish. In this 25 seconds, Eleven can be seen running over to a chair with a gun on it, then emptying the bullets out. He then goes back to Amy and Rory, pulls out the cartridge of a gun in the fruit dish and stuffs that in his pocket before replacing the gun. Just in time to reposition himself. With a final shout the light vanishes and Melody gasps out. She shakes it off after a few deep breaths. New face, new voice, new... well, everything. Except the clothes.]
Right. Let's see then. [The video fades out again. When it comes back again, Melody's standing in the hole where the TARDIS had crashed in, a view over a city just visible around her. The others are standing in the middle of the room.]
Berlin on the eve of war. A whole world about to tear itself apart. [She turns to look at Eleven, Amy, and Rory, a smile on her face.] Now that's my kind of town. Mum, Dad, don't follow me. And yes, that is a warning.
No warning for me, then?
[Melody had just turned away, but turns back to look at Eleven.] No need, my love. The deed is done, and so are you.
[Eleven takes a step closer before his legs buckle. He clutches at his chest and the Ponds help prop him up, asking what's wrong. He wriggles out of their grasp as Melody continues smiling at him.]
What have you done? River?
Oh, River, River, River. More than a friend, I think. [She looks annoyed, jealous, even now. Eleven struggles forward again, but collapses.]
What have you done?!
It was never going to be a gun for you, Doctor. The man of peace, who understands every kind of warfare except, perhaps, the cruelest. [She pauses for a moment as Eleven puts a hand up to his mouth.] Kiss kiss.
[She blows him a kiss and turns back to look over Berlin for a moment. Melody jumps off the window ledge, leaving her parents crowded around the Doctor as the video cuts out one last time.]
((Green=Eleven, Blue=Rory, Red=Amy; If you'd rather watch (most of) the scene, go over here. (Ignore the guys inside the robo-Nazi, please.) The part I wrote ends at 1:24. Sadly, I don't have a video clip for the other bit. 8( Replies will be taken hours later after she brings the Doctor back to life and is recuperating in the hospital. IMPORTANT NOTE: All replies will be from

Oh, I'm sure you will.
no subject
You say that like you know me.
no subject
Oh, we've met. I don't think I could say that I know you, though. For starters, I wasn't aware you'd garnered so many ASBOs in a previous life.
no subject
Well then, maybe we should change that. I'd like to get to know you
and that pretty facea little better. But those ASBOs. I had a tally running in one of the books at Amy and Rory's. Still, it's not exactly something I'd brag about now. [But some of those skills might come in handy later on...]no subject
Maybe we should, because I wouldn't mind getting to know you better either. And well, I dunno. Between you and me, I had my planet's equivalent of several ASBOs going once upon a time.
no subject
Really now? I'd love to hear the stories. And don't worry about time, I've got quite a bit of it on my hands.
no subject
Well, I've got quite a few of them. Coming from a society where you're not an adult till you hit two centuries, you can rack up a fine list of misdemeanours.
strikes hackable 8D;;; and feel free to handwave the stories
To see your pretty face in person, that's an added bonus in the future.Care to share, Sweetie?
o7
Are you flirting with me?Oh, I could do. There was this one time, we would have been... oo, about sixty? Seventy? Anyway, me and a couple of my other classmates trapped one of our professors in a time-loop inside his office for a few days.
no subject
What if I am?Oh, that is brilliant! Bad and brilliant. I'm curious on how to replicate that. One more thing to do when I get out.
no subject
Well, I should probably tell you you're rude for flirting with a man at several different points in his timestream.Well, we certainly thought so at the time. And well, I would tell you, but I have a feeling your dad would kill me if I started giving you even more bad influences to model yourself on. Especially since I have no idea who your poor old victims would end up being.
no subject
Maybe I'm a bit rude this regeneration. But that would only be true if I really am flirting with you and your other regenerations."Poor old victims"? I'm not the same girl I was when we first met, Doctor. Besides, maybe I can figure something out on my own.
no subject
And are you? Flirting with any other of me, that is.Oh, I know that, I was just having you on. Go on then, find a way to impress me, I dare you.
I regret nothing
I may be rather fond of the you I met. Now he's delicious.[intentional vagueness is go]How much would saying I can fly the TARDIS impress you?
you are terrible /dying
I'm not sure how I should feel about that comment.Quite a bit, actually, along with making me wonder where you learned it from.
yes I am
Interpret it as you wish. The short version is she taught me how.
no subject
Not that she makes a point of teaching everyone, actually, but then, I suppose you're not everyone, are you?
no subject
No, I don't suppose I do qualify as everyone.
