[What you hear is the sound of fabric moving and those small noises people make when they wake up. Those small noises turn into a moan, and then a loud cry of pain along with the sound of fabric ripping. It doesn't last very long and afterwards there is some paining, and Rose speaks up.]

First of all, you should get a feel for your range of motion with them. Figure out what you can do comfortably with your muscles there.

[She does just that, moving the wings any way that is possible. It feels odd considering she is using muscles that she never used or had before.]

Laguz are capable of hovering in place, which most normal birds can't do. You'll want to try that first, in fact.

[She spreads her wings and flaps them until she lifts off the ground a couple of inches, which causes her to smile.]
