001 [Accidental Video]

[At first the camera displays just the side of someone, an arm, long wavy hair, without much else, illuminated barely by the moonlight shining in from above. A sudden rock of the view, though, sends the device tumbling onto wooden planks and sliding across the floor. From this distance, Elizabeth can now be fully seen sitting on a barrel beside several stairs, in what many might recognize as the interior of a ship, eyebrows furrowed as she stares in the direction of that thump. She takes a quick glance around before getting to her feet and retrieving the device. So, here's some intense staring from her, her face lit up by artificial light, as she tries to investigate the device, turning it this way and that.

You wanted to see that lantern right? Good 'cause that's all that fills the video for a bit.]

What on earth is this? [Her voice is not only quiet because of the new orientation of the device, but also because she's whispering.]

[Elizabeth stares over at Will silently for a few moments, swallowing as some of that guilt swells slightly.]

It seems there is little luck to be had with such things.

[He simply nods. So many things that he has seen that he wishes he hadn't. Sometimes.

He glances away for a moment.]

You...will be careful, Elizabeth?

[Watching him for a few seconds, Elizabeth nods solemnly. There's at least one promise she can attempt to keep.] Of course.

[A small nod before he chews on the inside of his lip.]

I...the sails are still in bad order. I must atend to them.

['I will see you soon' lays heavy on his tongue but instead he simply nods to excuse himself and starts back towards the main deck.

He prepares mentally for her to call him back. To tell him to wait, but his heart prepares for the opposite. For her to simply let him go.]

[Elizabeth nods again, pulling her gaze away from him. She doesn't call him back, she doesn't do anything except stand back and let him go. It's better this way, isn't it? For him to not properly know what she's done? Yes, the community had given them a reason to speak to each other again, but outside of that, she doesn't know what to say to him, really.]
