001 [Accidental Video]

[At first the camera displays just the side of someone, an arm, long wavy hair, without much else, illuminated barely by the moonlight shining in from above. A sudden rock of the view, though, sends the device tumbling onto wooden planks and sliding across the floor. From this distance, Elizabeth can now be fully seen sitting on a barrel beside several stairs, in what many might recognize as the interior of a ship, eyebrows furrowed as she stares in the direction of that thump. She takes a quick glance around before getting to her feet and retrieving the device. So, here's some intense staring from her, her face lit up by artificial light, as she tries to investigate the device, turning it this way and that.

You wanted to see that lantern right? Good 'cause that's all that fills the video for a bit.]

What on earth is this? [Her voice is not only quiet because of the new orientation of the device, but also because she's whispering.]

... Think about what would happen if souls were unable to completely move on.

Where would they end up?

Who would deal with them?

We have such a legend. [Well, not so much a legend as real.] Davy Jones. But only for those who die at sea.

So if you believe in Davy Jones, what makes my world impossible?

[theblackswann]

[That earns a long pause from Elizabeth.] I suppose it isn't, then.

[starblaze]

So there you go.

It's my job to push those souls onward.

[theblackswann]

Are you immortal, then?

[starblaze]

... Something close to it.

[theblackswann]

It must come with the price of service, then.

[starblaze]

... No. It's just an aspect of what I am.

I could easily let the souls be and allow them to fester. But I choose not to.

[theblackswann]

Out of self-drive, then.

[starblaze]

And it's the right thing to do.

[theblackswann]

Yes. [Nodding quickly.] You are one of the few.

[starblaze]

... What makes you say that?

[theblackswann]

Davy Jones is immortal, but he abandoned his duty. Instead he is a terror of the seas.

[starblaze]

Ah... a few here have done something like that, too.

[theblackswann]

And they can access the community.

[starblaze]

No, I mean, the others in my world.

Just one other person of my kind is on the community, too.

[theblackswann]

[Elizabeth nods slowly.]

It seems many of those I know already have seen the community.

[starblaze]

I think it helps to have someone you know on the community with you.

[theblackswann]

[Elizabeth clams up a bit at that. She's more of a little than distressed by having James and Will and possibly Jack all on the community.] In your experience, perhaps.

[starblaze]

Ah... people you're not friendly with?

[theblackswann]

No. Quite the opposite, really. [Two of them are always trying to protect her and the other one is... Jack.]

[starblaze]

Mm... you don't need to give me the details, if you don't want to.

[theblackswann]

[Elizabeth simply nods silently to that. She doesn't want to explain what each of them means to her.]
