[the lighting is dim, but not dark enough to obscure what is there. the first thing you'll probably notice is all the blood, still spreading in ripples through the shallow water. and lying on her back in the ocean-sized puddle is Shooter, pale skin broken and stained with red.
it's eerily quiet. dark. monochrome is only broken by the flickering blue glow of Shooter's eyes. she turns to face the camera, blood trickling from the corner of her lips. a trembling hand reaches out--
out of nowhere, a blinding spear of light pierces her palm, pinning it to the glassy surface beneath the water. Shooter opens her mouth as if to scream; simultaneously, two more light spears impale her abdomen, stifling her voice with the abrupt pain. a dark shadowy substance spurts from the wounds alongside the blood.
the light from the spears reveal the extent of her injuries. if she were human, she would have been dead long ago. and yet the girl is clearly fully conscious... "alive". eyes dart around, searching for something. someone.
no one is there. the spears vanish into nothing, smothering her in darkness once more.]
