It's been a while, and probably the first time that I've posted willingly. [ On the community, anyway, her 'journal' was a separate thing ]

A lot of things are changing. There's only a few months left before we leave and everything changes. I've been wanting to get out of here for so long and now it's nearly here. It's definitely going to be different, and I'm getting used to the idea of that being a good thing.

It's kind of scary that school's nearly over, don't you think? Like, it always seemed like something that would happen eventually, and now suddenly it's only like... a few months away.

It feels like we rushed it too much, all that wanting to get out before.

Yeah. I always thought it was such a drag, but now I realize I'm gonna miss it.

And then it's like starting all over again. At least before we knew each other.

I'm not sure what I'm more worried about, leaving here or being there.

Yeah, exactly.

You're worried about leaving? Doesn't everyone hate Lima?

It's crappy but it's home, and I'll miss my mom. And who knows what settling in there will be like?
