[Hologram/Video] The Red Coat Returns

[Of course, those with wrist straps wouldn‘t see the red coat, as holograms are shaded blue. Which is far from John‘s favourite shade, but he‘s had no luck changing that setting.

Still no point sweating the small stuff John gives everyone a wave.]

“Hello, sexy people! It is I back from my travels to this blue ball you 21st century-ans call Earth.“

[He chuckles then continues, clapping his hands together.]

“So! Advice, please, where should I visit?“

[Captain John is rather...broad in his definitions of sexy, but he has good taste so this particularly lovely lady will get a beaming grin.]

"21st century-ians, you know, the people who live in the 2000s, aren't you one of them?"

You mean this place doesn't even have everybody from the same time?!

"Seems so. I mean half the people here don't even seem to be from Earth, so," [John gives a shrug.] "I though do have the benefit of being able to travel through time and space."

Then you can hop between worlds? How?

"With this, love!" [Ah, you've gotten on to one of Captain John's favourite subjects! He holds up his right arm and pulls back the sleeve of his red coat to show off his wrist strap.] "Personal time travelling device, generally accurate and can cover billions of light years in an instant!"

[Her eyes snap to it.] Can you get me one?!

You aren't from Earth?

[John's quite sure he's met this one before, but it's hard to keep track, a time traveller meets so many different people (and aliens) after all!] "Well...I was born on Earth, but it's best days were behind it by then. So here I am in its heyday...or so I heard."

[He leans forward.] "So! Any suggestions?"

Amestris is a nice place to see. Central is a very large city, Liore is a desert town, and Rezembool is a very nice country town. There are others and I'm sure there are some that are very different but those are the places that I know.

[John frowns for a moment and then fiddles with his wrist strap apparently looking something up.] "Where exactly are those places? They're not showing up on my search here..."

I don't think my world is very much like many others. There's no Japan here, either.

"Ooo, really?" [John loves this kind of stuff! It's one of the reasons he's glad to have stumbled upon this community.]

"Where do you live, do you have lots of countries? Any festivals?"

I would always recommend Japan.

[Captain John perks up immediately.] "Japan, home of Karaoke! I really must go there and pay tribute. There's other things there as well right?"

Of course. There's quite a varied night life, not to mention a good deal of national landmarks and other unique places to visit. It would be nice if you came during a festival sometime, they're the most fun I think.

"Ooo, festivals, I love festivals! Is it anything like Carnival? Or Mardi Gras? Or Okertoberfest?"

[Captain John does love a good party.]

Yes, quite a bit from what I've heard. In many instances, we do dress up in traditional clothing and there is almost always food and alcohol to be had. Let's see... There also are parades sometimes. Many different festivals celebrating many different things; they're all wonderful.

"Alcohol?" [You've said the magic words!] "Oooo, what sort? Is it strong? I find 21st century alcohol on the weak side myself."

"I am!" [John gives Crocker a very enthuaistic wave.] "You missed me, then? Awwww."

"Of course I remember you. You're pretty much unforgettable, what with...well...you know." [John gestures vaguely, hey he's not that rude.]
