In any case, I'll get to the main question I was planning to ask today. Do any of you live in worlds that have beings who regulate time? Or, at the least, those who can manipulate time?

A god, in this case. Two of them. [ and he's learned from them how to manipulate time a little bit, too-- but certainly not to the grand extent they can. ]

I think knowing how to would be on a need-to-know basis. So I've only seen time being slowed down to near-stop. Other than that, there's areas where you can travel back and forth through time- only if you know how to open the gate in the first place. [ and he's the one that can do that. of course, he doesn't realize the full repercussions of tampering with history that fully. ]

[ the gods lie outside of time and other concepts. tampering in-history offends more of the people inside the timeline than those unconfined by it, if that makes sense. ]

I am quite interested in visiting worlds other than mine, when I find the opportunity - but I'd prefer to know whether my method of transport would offend resident managers of time before such a thing happens. I know I wouldn't like someone meddling with timelines under my jurisdiction without any sort of warning.

Yeah, that's the good thing about it. Not everything's set in stone, as they say. [ unless, of course, the community wants it to be a certain way. ]

I have been considering visiting other universes, but my method of travel is temporal-based. I would prefer to avoid offending my equivalents in other worlds.

I have no proof but I always pictured a god of time to be a goddess and she casually flips over her giant hourglass when she gets bored. Or a literal Sandman.

I myself was formed as a ghost, although the majority of ghosts used to be living beings. As for your last question - an interesting deduction, but slightly off mark. There is only one "active" timeline at any given time in my universe.

True. As long as you are careful to retain elements you are fond of.

The exact age of time, to be slightly more precise.

There are alternate timelines, but they exist only in the future, as relating to my personal timeline - once something happens, it "solidifies" and it is much more difficult to change.

That doesn't make sense. So there are alternate timelines but you're totally only watching the future.

The egg. Or in this case, both at the same point.

The future branches off into multiple possible timelines, all of which can be interfered with. The past has only one timeline, but this timeline can also be changed - if with more difficulty.

The majority of people who can see the future only see the most likely timeline. However, their looking into the future may be the thing that changes its likelihood.

I'm relatively certain that other universes have different rules of time, however.
