chronokinesis: (I'm in a benevolent mood today)

Dan says that anything he mentioned during the incident a few days ago should be disregarded, as he wasn't in his right mind. Is this something I should be looking into? [He looks... rather like he's trying not to laugh. Very hard.]

In any case, I'll get to the main question I was planning to ask today. Do any of you live in worlds that have beings who regulate time? Or, at the least, those who can manipulate time?

[ manipulate time..? ] You bet there is! Sometimes, it doesn't even have to be a person that changes it. [ like simply walking through a gate can change it. good stuff that he takes for granted. ]

A god, in this case. Two of them. [ and he's learned from them how to manipulate time a little bit, too-- but certainly not to the grand extent they can. ]

I think knowing how to would be on a need-to-know basis. So I've only seen time being slowed down to near-stop. Other than that, there's areas where you can travel back and forth through time- only if you know how to open the gate in the first place. [ and he's the one that can do that. of course, he doesn't realize the full repercussions of tampering with history that fully. ]

What brought this topic up, if you don't mind me askin'?

[ the gods lie outside of time and other concepts. tampering in-history offends more of the people inside the timeline than those unconfined by it, if that makes sense. ]

If you ask me, the community does enough of meddling with timelines that no one can stop, anyways.

Yeah, that's the good thing about it. Not everything's set in stone, as they say. [ unless, of course, the community wants it to be a certain way. ]

Is he ever in his right mind?

Not plotting evil things.

Of course it has! Why do you ask?

A ghost! [ YEEEEEEEES. So much grinning. ]

I have no proof but I always pictured a god of time to be a goddess and she casually flips over her giant hourglass when she gets bored. Or a literal Sandman.

You presume correctly.
I expect our conversations to be far more pleasant now.

Never! Where you always a ghost or did you die? How did you die? Did you put your favorite timelines' clocks in watch form?

But it's more interesting if you could keep getting new results!

[personal profile] sosbrigade 2012-02-27 12:27 am (UTC)(link)
So you were just born as clock guy! Older than time itself, yeah? [ nod nod ] Oh so you're not keeping track of alternates or anything? Huh.

Exactly!

Which came first the chicken or the egg?

That doesn't make sense. So there are alternate timelines but you're totally only watching the future.
