⚔ 009 ⚔ Video ⚔
[When the feed turns on accidentally, it’s at an odd angle where the device is somehow still on Elizabeth’s person after she removes all of her weapons at the entrance to the bathouse. Steam fills the view as the view bobs and knocks from side to side against Elizabeth’s leg (but don’t worry, she’s got a tunic on hiding anything important). However, more importantly, the black-clad back of Hector Barbossa can be seen for a moment before the view turns to the side again, showing any number of Chinese men and women in baths, some of whom have coral growing across their face or barnacles attached to odd places on hands.
But then it turns off again.
The feed clicks on again but the view is now filled with water instead of steam. Well half of the feed is. The other half is a rather soaked view of Will’s wet pocket. Now why would Will’s pocket be wet? Because Will is currently held under that bubbly water. There is muffled noises around him and with a loud sploosh Will’s forcibly lifted from the water. The view is drippy but clearer now- with a nice view of Barbossa and Elizabeth. The latter stares with a slightly open mouth for a couple seconds before she closes it, safely standing behind Barbossa.]
This is the thief. [Sao Feng’s voice is heard from off screen.] Is his face familiar to you?
[Elizabeth pales but shakes her head alongside Barbossa. So, of course, Sao Feng withdraws a spike, which is in clear view of the camera, a thick wooden thing with dried blood staining its point.] Then I guess he has no further need for it.
[As the spike swings down toward what can easily be assumed is Will’s body, Elizabeth visibly starts with a gasp, covering her mouth and the feed is muddled as Will’s device slips a bit in his wet pocket. There’s some muffled words between Sao Feng and Barbossa before Will is shifted again and the device peeks up enough to show Barbossa tossing a small silver coin at Sao. The Chinese pirate catches it, blows on it to elicit a high ring from the coin. With wide eyes he places it at his ear and looks expectantly at Barbossa.]
The song has been sung.
[Another awkward shift and the device slides into Will’s pocket. It’s not long, though! It’s still from the wet side and shows an Elizabeth standing toe-to-toe with Sao Feng, now standing out from her shelter behind Barbossa (as Barbossa is now somewhere off-screen) and clearly exposed as she speaks with a fierce passion,]
You command in an age of piracy where bold captains sail free waters. Where waves aren’t measured in feet but as increments of fear, and those who pass the test become legend. Would you have that era come to an end under your watch? The most notorious pirates from around the world are uniting against our enemy and yet you sit here cowering in your bathwater!
[Sao Feng barely moves at first before taking the few deliberate steps towards her and she takes her own step back from him. He circles her, speaking much more softly, and steps up directly behind her. His mouth moves toward her ear and she barely turns her head to the side, toward him. The view jostles as Will shifts uncomfortably in the water, splashing the feed and turning it off again.
When next the feed turns on, there’s a rather unfortunate view of several Chinese men, some of which are heavy set, but also barely includes the view of two blades from above before the device swings to face Sao Feng, who is now holding a thin man by the throat, a sword held across his chest. Will’s voice can barely be heard,] Who’s he with?
[Cue the battle cry of British soldiers charging through the door of the bathhouse! For a while there’s nothing but the clang of swords and pistol shots, blurs of color and a few brief glimpses of fiery explosions (all of which is in the rl!action below >>). However, it does briefly stop for a a couple minutes or so, showing a very close-up view of Will and Sao Feng again, a bit distanced from the ruckus that is the rest of the battle.]
It’s an odd coincidence that the East India Trading Company finds me the day you show up in Singapore.
It’s no coincidence.
[Will steps forward and the tin mirror slides completely out of his pocket, his next words obscured by the sound of the metal hitting the floor. Sao steps forward as well, but his foot lands on the device. With a bit of a crack the feed shuts off. This time, for good. (But feel free to chat up Elizabeth and Will post-battle! :3)]

[Will sighed, and was that a slight look of nervous tension? No. Not really.]
There were a few things required in order to continue with what I revealed before.
[He is wary of you, James. Right now...he is actually weary of everyone.]
