[The video opens on Dave, wearing a white shirt and sitting in a hospital bed. There's bruises on the side of his neck, and when he speaks his voice is a wreck -- but he's still alive, and for the most part seems alright.]

So....

I'm not dead. If anyone didn't know.

[He lets out a bitter, humorless laugh -- as though he can't decide whether or not that's a good thing.]

They put me on 72 hour watch while I was here, but that's over now. They're letting me go home tomorrow. Dad's happy. Mom's...Mom is trying to figure some things out. I think she wants me to talk to a minister or something about...about my disease once I'm home.

I heard they made some sort of announcement at my school, and at McKinley. So...now everybody knows, I guess. About..what happened. And why.

So...what'd I miss the last three days?
