[Awakening on the Bright Win didn't do much for the senses. Nor did the sudden ability to see... things. She knew those passageways, didn't she? Was that where she needed to go? Could this be some weird psychic ability?

...she'd almost have missed the laptop if it hadn't been for the brightness of the screen. What was this? Some... kind of computer? It was pretty small. A portable computer, then. And it looked like it was connected to that internet thing she'd heard about. Fiddling around didn't turn up much else beyond the site it was open to. Oh nuts. Looks like this duck place was her only hope.]

Is anyone online right now? I'm not sure what happened, but I think there must have been an accident. I don't know the number exactly, but can someone help me find a way to contact Kameishino Prefectural Junior High School? I don't know where there's a phone here... But I can look, if someone will help me find the number. I think the ship might only have radio though. I'll have to find a way off of it to find a phone.

Not here. I'm in the cargo hold. But there's... strange people out there. I don't think I can rely on them to help.

I need to contact the school so that they can contact mum and let her know I'm alright! I don't need the police.

...I think there's a policeman here already, anyway.

I need to find the number first. And I don't know where they are. Wherever it is, there's... machines. And the walls are green. I'll have to look for that room.

Unless it's someone who's from your world, they probably won't have any of the numbers in your world.

What are you talking about? Just... open a phone book!

There aren't any phonebooks in my world. Most of us are probably not even in the same world as yours. If you're on a ship, you're definitely not in mine. There aren't any oceans and there's nowhere to fly if you're in one of those futures with spaceships. We don't have phones here either, there are no cell towers. Everyone's dead in my world too, so the chances of it being the same place are basically zero.

So, like I said, even if I had a phonebook and the number were the same, it might not reach the one you want.

You don't know what a telephone is? ...it's a device used to communicate between distances. But not like this. Telephones only let you communicate with audio.

I don't think they have a website... this whole internet stuff is really new. I think we're somewhere off the coast of Yamijima Island. I can't remember what happened but the ship isn't moving any more and there's weird people on board.
