[Video! Also backdated to Wednesday]
[[Okay, so this is a big canon move. For those who don't want the TL;DR, episode 34 is here, and 35 is here. Apologies for the dub, as much as I love it))
[Look! A video this time!
It opens upon a dark room, strange looking ghosts floating over the central feature of the room. In the dim light cast from various torches, three bodies can be made out, hanging from their wrists inside the mouths of the sculptures decorating it. One wears green, another orange... and look! The light blue one! It's Shin!
A small form enters the room. She has long hair, the poise of a dancer or a solider, a golden amulet resting upon her chest and her poor excuse for armor, and she laughs imperiously at them. The one in green grits his teeth at her.]
Kayura!
Now Korin, you're quite the sight aren't you? [The one in orange objects, but Kayura ignores him] You must be quiet, or you'll ruin the trap I've set for your friends, Rekka and Tenku!
[She raises her hand, and the spirits begin torturing them anew, making all three of them scream in pain.
The video cuts to more familiar lands, a Japan very clearly caught in the late 80s... and on fire, where soldiers in full armor roam, many kidnapping children from burning schools.
The video changes again, this time following two young boys, one in red and one in blue, and a white tiger down a dark corridor. The one in blue, Tenku, draws his bow and fires a blue energy blast to the wall, exploding it and revealing Kayura standing in front of the place the captured Troopers were hanging from.]
C'mon Touma!
[The one in red, Rekka, charges forward and the two attack her, but she jumps easily out of the way, twin jitte drawn.]
You'll have to be much faster if you wish to catch me!
[They fight, Kayura never losing her easy smile as she doges every attack, laughing brightly]
I suppose I should allow you to strike me at least once, so you may say "at least we made the attempt!"
[Rekka unleashes a bright, white hot burst of energy, Kayura dodging ot of the way and causing he energy to wrap around the prison, which apparently doesn't hold the three anymore, Rekka unable to stop the power from being absorbed by it]
Ryo, it's a trap! Don't let her win!
[Sadly Ryo's energy is totally drained, the tiger jumping up to rescue him as he falls. Kayura laughs and boasts about how Tenku will be next, that he needn't worry, there's a place for all nine of them at Arago's bidding]
Tell me one thing! Why are you so evil, Kayura?
[She grins, crossing her jitte behind her back] The pay is good and there's lots of room for advancement. Now be quiet while I drain your power. I advise that you do not resist, it will be easier for you.
[Tenku attacks, leaving Ryo with the tiger. She still easily avoids him, even when he threatens and makes good on bringing down the room around them. She demands his armor]
You won't get anything from me! Not while I'm still alive!
You're willing to sacrifice yourself? [She can't believe what she's hearing, the very idea is ludicrous. She leaps back.]
That's right!
You fool, what motivation could you possibly have for doing such a thing?
My friend's in trouble and he needs help, but you wouldn't understand what it means to make sacrifices for your friends!
But what good is sacrificing everything?
If it'll save my friend I'll do it, no problem! [Kayura just stares at him] I'd risk my life for them, and I know they'd do the same for me! That's part of what being a Samurai Trooper is, and it's something I don't think you'll ever understand!
[She only readies her attack] I'll strike you down, Lady Kayura!
Then what are you waiting for?! [They both attack, hers connecting and launching him out of the castle and into the air.
She jumps out as well, watching him fall back down.] Fool. He wouldn't be plummeting to his death if he hadn't insisted on fighting.
[BUT SOMEHOW HE'S FLYING NOW! And they fight in midair, trading barbs back and forth.
The camera cuts back to the tiger and Rekka, both now on a ship and the two combatants fight towards it, Kayura taking enough out of Tenku to weaken him to the point he is unable to fight.
BUT WHAT'S THIS?! A BRIGHT PINK LIGHT APPEARS AND COMES UP FROM UNDER THE WATER, AND FROM THE LIGHT APPEARS...
Shuten! And a slightly younger looking Nasutei and this kid the same age as the ones being kidnapped back in the human world! Shuten speaks to Touma]
I am here to save those who have lost their souls long ago and sold them to Arago.
[Shuten greets as the boys had hoped he was there to help them fight.]
Lady Kayura appears not at all interested in what Shuten has to say]
How very kind of you Shuten, but I did not ask for your help, nor do I require the aid of a traitor.
[However his attention went to protecting Nasutei and Jun who were surrounded by soldiers. Ryo and Touma then proceed to take on her challenge. Shuten then returns to fight Lady Kayura, jumping in and breaking up the fight between her and Ryo.]
Ryo, go and save the others. This is my fight. I must free Lady Kayura from Arago’s hold.
[Ryo is reluctant to leave, but listens to him and leaves to help the others. Shuten continues to fight using defensive maneuvers, not wanting to harm her.]
The power of Kaosu withstands evil and guards virtue! Kayura, don’t be a fool!
[This time he makes a sure move to kill her, only to realize last minute the staff won’t harm her. It refuses to move. Shuten could only stare in confusion and now more lost than ever on how to handle the situation.
Suddenly the video changes again, to show Touma hanging upside down by his ankles at the front of a boat. Soldiers cut him down, sending him into the whirlpool.
Another change! Ryo stands along against three armored warriors, the three of them laughing at how they will easily defeat him alone. The one in pink attacks, covering him in strands of spider's webbing. The one in green and red surrounds him with swords, their power conducting through the webbing and into Ryo, making him scream in pain. The brown one continues the assault, sending a stream of black energy to join the other two.
SUDDENLY AGAIN! The tiger runs in, Nasutei and Jun on his back. The child holds up a necklace he is wearing, those familiar with the shape will recognize it as a magatama. Bright light comes from it, causing the the Masho, for that is who they are, great pain and freeing Ryo! But he is still clearly in pain and quite vulnerable.
AND MORE SUDDENLY! KAYURA RETURNS! And the light has no effect on her! Oh no, how will Ryo get out of this?!
She attacks, nearly reaching her goal WHEN...
Well, you won't find out what happens because that's where the camera finally cuts out!]
