Why is it every time I visit Empire City during St. Patrick's Day that I always get pinched? It's really annoying, especially when I need parts for a project or groceries.

[He sighs.] I really should get looking for new possible places to live sooner or later. I've lived here far longer than I have anywhere else and this boredom is really getting to me.

No actually. There are more humans in the world than people like me. Not to mention there are animals are more like ones in other worlds and they can't speak human languages.

A bit, though it's not quite as magical as Oz. The only real "magical" thing here would be the Chaos Emeralds and even then that would be pushing it. [While it does have some fantasy, his world is more Sci-fi than anything.]

[Talking animals will always sounds either Oz-magic or Disney-like to him, sorry tails.] The chaos emeralds? Those caused you trouble in the past, right? I remember it.

[It's a lot closer to Disney than Oz.] Yes, but they also have helped us in the past too. The emeralds themselves are neutral. It's only if negative emotions produce negative energy or if was in the wrong hands is when it's bad.

I dunno. The emeralds seem to have minds of it's own. It usually ends in different places and we end up having to find all seven of them whenever we need them.

It's a tv show for kids, they have some magic balls that work more or less like the emeralds in your world.
