[Coulson is staring intently at the computer screen. Very intently. In fact, this may be the most serious that he's ever looked -- which is saying something. The man doesn't do much that isn't serious.]

[The word is muttered to himself, brow furrowed.] Just about... There!

[And now, seriousness is replaced with absolute triumph. A kid who just got exactly what he asked for from Santa. Fiddling and a sheet prints. It's an order confirmation, straight off of eBay, winning bid. As he holds it up to the light read it's quite visible: Complete series: Captain America trading cards, original printing, near mint condition.

There's a bit of a grin starting on his face as he suddenly realizes he's sharing this. The expression fades entirely, and he pauses.]

...this is research. [And then he hurries to turn the video off.]

I don't have any idea what SHIELD is, you're going to have to be more specific. I died a while ago so you're going to have to fill me in a little.

SHIELD is the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division. We take care of the strange and the out of the ordinary that could pose a threat to society as we know it. Handle the threats that are beyond the scope of the normal military or law enforcement. We keep apprised of breakthrough technology and unexplained anomalies as they come along in case they later become threats.

Yes, I'm speaking to you from beyond the grave. Don't worry, no one here had to see it happen I was already dead by the time that everyone met me. So, SHIELD basically deals with superpowers, aliens, and new technology from the sounds of it.

Yes, and since I know this is going to come up one way or another, no not everyone gets in here, no this isn't the end of the line, and I'm fairly certain what happens to you once you die is based on your personal belief system since there are only Japanese kids here.

Basically, it's a boarding school for young to about mid-twenties kids who died young after living absolutely unfair and horrible lives that we had no control over. It's not a place you want to be.
