You get used to it. In this world the use of magic is uncommon and secretive, but not unheard of. The concept of parallel worlds and travel between them is known as Second Magic, near the level of a miracle.

...Okay. Now I know we aren't from the same Japan. I've never heard of magic being used here and the concepts you are talking about are completely foreign to me.

Magi tend to be incredibly secretive about it. Unless you are one, you wouldn't know. So for all we know, you could be from the same one.
