006 ➛[accidental video]

[I know what you're thinking. Thorcast, calm the hell down you just canon moved what are you doing. Look the film actually takes place over three days it's amazing we made it this long. Let's do a brief recount of events (you can skip the next paragraph):

Thor has been on Midgard for an incredibly long time, leaving everyone's soon to be favorite super villain as King of all of Asgard. He lied to Thor about their Dad being dead and everything was going along really well - Loki was kind of happy, he had friends on the network, things actually seemed right until Thor managed to say in a public place (Coulson's post - this will be important later) that Odin was dead (a miracle they lasted this long) and Sif of course went to ruin everything. Fastforward to Sif's last post where Loki sent the Destroyer. Thor then became Thor again, kicked it's ass and everyone road the rainbow bridge back to Asgard where Loki had just killed Laufey, the king of the Frost Giants, and was en route to destroying their entire planet. For obvious reasons, Thor goes to stop him they have a really emotional conversation and an ensuing flight but you aren't getting that as a video. That was just the background in case you were missing it.

Loki's phone flips on from where it had been dropped, and the video starts with the bifrost, Thor at the very end hammering away on it and a quick flash of green cape entering, spearthing (shut up I'm lazy) in hand.]

Forgive me, Jane.

[Suddenly, Loki jumps up towards him, aiming the spear for his back but in the same second Thor's hammer hits the Bifrost, breaking it, and the two brothers are thrown back in a brilliant flash of light. When finally anything can be seen again, Loki and Thor are both hanging off the bridge - Loki has his hand on the end of the spear, Thor grips the other end, keeping his brother from falling into the GIANT FUCKING WORMHOLE CREATED BY THE BIFROST BREAKING and Odin is holding onto Thor.

It looks like the Allfather woke up just in time!]

I could have done it, Father. [There's a sort of desperation in both his tone and his face as he says it, since clearly nothing worked out.] I could have done it. For you - for all of us.

[A pause. But instead of saying something encouraging or accepting, Odin says:]

No Loki.

[There's a moment's hesitation. A moment of desperation, looking for something - anything - good in this situation. That if he had only done things correctly, been more intelligent, more careful, that his father would have accepted him. Things would have worked out, and he could have been happy - a distant memory at this point, and it seems that there is no way to go back to that.

Instead: No, Loki.

It would be nice to say it was almost too much to handle, but the almost is an inaccurate qualifier. Loki lets go.]

LOKI! NO! NOOOOOOOOOOO!

No.

[But, naturally, both Thor and Odin's words are too little too late as Loki falls away and into the abyss. The video shuts off.]

[Normally she's be hideously offended by this, but hey he backed up those guys who totally aren't her friends. It helps she's angry with Loki too for all that attempted murder and being a coward. Anyways Tony is getting a real response to his Spongebob viewing.

[Okay time for an appropriate response to this! Elektra is still pissed at him for killing Thor. (It still counts if they come back ten seconds later.) She's still pissed at him for nearly killing Sif, Jane, and Darcy in the process of trying to kill Thor. This? Still hurts regardless of that. She is clinging to that anger for sure, but she is sorry to see him give up like this. (Spoilers: she's angry with him for giving up too. She didn't think of him as a coward since she missed Thor's many early rants about how Loki was in fact a coward. Probably should have caught those Elektra.)

She won't cry about it because Loki doesn't deserve it considering everything he pulled. We all know how Elektra feels about shows of weakness. Since she doesn't have any obligations in this, (Thor's people can comfort Thor. She doubts he'll be accessible after this anyways.) Elektra will be on her way to do something, anything, that can erase the memory of watching this and her stupidity in letting this person anywhere near her to begin with.

Maybe that drink (or ten) with her homie Jane and that other rich guy with dad issues will help.]

[ It wasn't supposed to have been like this. Not that Sif knew exactly how it was supposed to have gone down, but it wasn't like this. Punch him in the face a number of times, beat him until she no longer felt like screaming at him and then--

But that didn't matter. Nothing matter because he let go and in the end what good had she done to stop this from occurring. She'd feared, once, that he would take some rash action. Before, she thought the Destroyer had been it - but this? This was worse, a thousand times worse.

It hurts, more than it should. He's dead and gone and he killed Thor and it shouldn't hurt at all but it's a knife to her chest and it hurts. She hadn't even said--

Well, that didn't matter now either. ]
