[Guess who's finally back, ladies and gentlemen? Or better, guess who the community decided to pester again when he was hiding from everyone? Yup, your resident point man.

He's shirtless, sitting ont he bed of a shady hotel, got a stubbly two days's beard andwas trying to change the bandage around his right shoulder when the video started to record him. Being shot at was a pain in the ass. Do you know what's a pain too? Not being able to reach the wound and clean it because that two small wings on his shoulders are getting in the way.

Arthur is not a happy camper.]

[Eames doesn't say anything for several seconds -- on his end, he's staring at the monitor, making sure this is real, scared to death that it isn't.

When he speaks, there's strain in his voice, and his tone is a confused swirl of hurt, anger, concern, command, and relief.]

[Arthur stop moving. He doesn't startle or jump in surprise but his jaw is more tense now and he looks around the room.] Eames?

... [Arthur finally noticed his phone recording. Great. He looks back at the man, noticing the wings. At least Arthur is not the only one who gets to endure this.]

As far as virus go, this one is one with the worse timing so far. I do wonder why yours are so different.

[Eames just dead-eyes at him for a minute, and you can see that he is just drained by this point.

Instead of responding, he looks at Arthur's shoulder and the bandages that need changing. In his hand is a medical kit, because god damn it, Arthur. He flicks his hand towards Arthur's mattress and says flatly:]

[Arthur was about to say. He just looks back at Tony and says nothing. Coulson would be proud of him.]

It always is. [His voice is curt and clipped. Partly it's because he's angry, but partly because if he starts to talk, it's only a matter of time before the gates open and he'll spill out every angry, hurt, or betrayed thought that's filled his head in the last several weeks.

He sits down on the mattress behind Arthur, better to not have to see his face. As he starts unpeeling bandages, he asks in a steely tone:] What the hell happened to your shoulder.

[He is silent for a a few looking at the wall. The wings in his shoulders twitch unintentionally from time to time. Those feel really strange and they pull the muscles on his back with each movement, opening the stitches of the wound by accident. Maybe it was some sort of ironic punishment.]
