Ugh. That was remarkably pointless! I'm all for fun and interesting viruses, but do you know how frustrating it is to win a battle just because the opposition is laughing so much?

It was bad enough when Darren was calling me Pixie. Now half of Shinjuku is going to be calling me that. I like my normal code-name! Why should purple dragon-fly wings change that?

So thanks, Mr. Community. Its going to take months to have people treat me seriously again.

It can be! Its certainly interesting and never repetitive. But some of the people you have to work with...ergh.

I suppose. But I doubt normal business men have to deal with people who can puppet others around, or who move faster than sound, or who kill people with perfumes.

It doesn't really matter when other people can move faster than light, or grow weapons, or trap people in illusions with a thought. The people I go up against can be pretty powerful too.

No circus, just the underground. Every world probably has one - its just that most of the people with weird powers work in it.

Hmm, guess I can't say we're too different. The guilds are pretty similar to you guys, in that way. Kinda sounds fun.

You have whole guilds? That's cool. We mostly work on our own or in small groups. Its rare enough to have someone regular there to watch your back - having a whole club would be amazing.

Well...I've been a fugitive for most of my life. Its not that great, when big companies like Brain Trust can do whatever they want and no one will say anything, no matter how many kids they kill.

Nope. I don't have money or looks, so who would listen to me? The cops only care about important people getting hurt - people in the underground are expendable.

Yeah, I know how that is. Sounds like authority doesn't really change, even in other worlds.

Guess one way to solve it would be to join the ranks of the police, or something.

No way. Then I'd have to stay put, and the bad guys would be able to find me even easier! Normal cops can't deal with the stuff that happens in our business. Its better to leave normal people out of it when possible.

If it was me, I'd just take them down and move on. I mean, you got guys on your side too, don't you?

But there's always more of them. That's what happens when you go up against people with a lot of money - they can always hire more goons. Don't think I've ever seen the same idiot twice...if you don't count most of my sometimes partners.
