The thneed business finally started being a success, I even had to tell my family to come over and help me. Now they work for me. It feels so great when life finally goes in the right direction. I have new plans for the future, bigger ones….

[He’s about to explain what he was drawing when a blond woman calls his name. Once-ler moves the camera away so his mother doesn’t see it, but the sound is audible if you pay attention.]

Oncie, we have a little problem.

Hmm..see we aren’t making thneeds faster enough. Harvesting the tufts takes too much.

Oh, but what else can we do?

Well, this just came to me...we could start chopping down the trees.

WHAT!? ..But…

No buts Oncie. You run a business now, you gotta do what’s best for the company and YOUR mama.

Ah…I..guess It couldn’t hurt to cut down a few trees…

[She moves to give him a hug, knocks over the camera in the process and the sound cut off.]

"Oncie". Wow. ... [his mother's nickname for him is very similar to what they call baby clothes. now that's attractive. Tony already felt bad for the poor schlub because of the axe wings, but this makes it even worse.

not to mention, well. chopping down the trees. as a former cutthroat industrialist, he can kind of see where this might go if someone isn't careful.

plus, he was around in the 90s when that whole Earth Day boom hit, and he's real hardcore into the Go Green movement, so. y e e e a h.]
