fifth fragment ☀ video

[ It was a bright and sunny day, filled with cheery voices coming from the small school in Hinamizawa. They all gathered around the Game Club Members as they revealed their tasty box lunches. Today was the aftermath of the curry competition! Whoever had the best lunch won and whoever had to lose, well they get a penalty as per usual for the club antics.

For the last few days, Satoko had bonded with Keiichi by terms of cooking. Keiichi was a horrible cook. So horrible he almost burned his house down and his parents were away on business. Rika was proud that they were getting along like brother and sister (since they would usually play pranks on each other at school) and would help around the kitchen as Satoko prepared dishes for him... even his own boxed lunch which was leftovers.

Keiichi was to be the loser (due to the simplicity of his lunch), but with his gift of words gained the upper hand and caused Rika to be exposed for having another classmate's lunch. Rika didn't mind being the loser, but Satoko too admitted to using another one of their classmate's lunches for the competition to not have Rika burden the penalty alone. This in turn causes Keiichi to admit too, even with his words, that he too cheated and then... ]

[ ooc: Rika will be tagging this in the evening. Satoko would be with Keiichi to go grocery shopping while she would stay behind and be free to talk with her fellow duckies.

And so~ Rika is now in Tatarigoroshi-hen (Curse Killing Chapter)!]

Mii. Well we were the losers of the game today so it was to be expected. Chie-sensei gets really scary with curry, hehe.

I don't get much of it... but as long as you're having fun.

It's a regular thing here in our school, it's one of the only things that keep me entertained...

Yes. I always treasure these times, that is so. It keeps me from getting bored.

Yes, they really do. There are a lot of games to choose from so, it mostly never gets old. Hehe.

.. You're.. lucky though. To have such a group of people to play fun games with.. I never had anything like that before, even if I might have wanted to.

Another fragment. Another place to fight. It seems as though my time is getting shorter as I go through each of them, mii.

I used to be able to go back a few months to even a few years to try and warn people, but... as you can tell it hasn't really worked.

That's.... yeah, that's a serous decline in time.

The incidents here only last two days, so having less time isn't good at all.

It might be considered fortunate that Bernkastel already knew that the girl called Rika Furude had access to the community, but... aah, who could even call that "good luck"? It made her sick just hearing about it, and now, seeing all of that play out in front of her...

Something like hatred twists Bernkastel's expression as she watches the video, not realizing the community is recording her. ]

[ and here's Rika ruining your moment! ]

Mii? Hello there!

[ at the sound of Rika's greeting, Bernkastel's eyes widen a fraction — and then her glare finds its focus, on the face that looked so much like her own.

She has to force herself not to look away, not to admit defeat with something as miniscule as that. It's difficult... and those words, chirped out with such innocent curiosity, only grate on her nerves even more. ]

... Are you seriously going to keep up that act around me?

[ terse and unplanned, the words form and escape almost of their own will, borne along by Bernkastel's anger. Yet, the witch makes no effort to take them back. Yes, that fragment... it wasn't the first one. By this point, Furude Rika was no longer a carefree child. To not take off that mask, to pretend ignorance, wasn't something that she could tolerate. ]

[ Rika takes a closer look to see who it was that replied to her. A small flinch. Having to see that glare on a familiar face. She knew there would be others like her, but she didn't imagine meeting herself so soon.

She'll change that tone of voice of hers with a smile. ]

...I suppose not. You are me after all... I can't fool myself.

That's very wise of you.

[ it's not a compliment. Neither is "cautious" or "prudent" or something similar — just by existing at this moment, Rika Furude doesn't deserve any of those words. ]

So, what should I refer to you as? Or would you rather have me calling you, 'Other me'? [ hey it worked in yugioh. ]
