The restlessness humming beneath his skin is gone, and he is very calm and very still as he says very clearly:] I fucking hate this community. Does anyone know what the fuck is going on?

[The words fall wrong, a discordant note, as though he's trying to inject someone else's anger into them.

I don't feel any different, so I must have lucked out and wasn't hit by this virus.

Lucky you. I managed to dodge this place for six months and then this happened. And the worst part is that I can't even get pissed off over it. [And not once throughout all of that did his voice waver. Still completely and utterly relaxed]

Five or six months, I think. I just happened to luck out on all the other viruses.

[Michael looks somewhat serene, chin resting in one hand as he gazes at the camera, lips still quirked upwards in that vague little smile.] Hey, Kaworu?

Oh come on, Kaworu. [His fingers tap impatiently against his cheek and his expression hardens at the edges] It's a simple yes-or-no answer, and I need to laugh at someone else's misery for a bit.

[Calm settles over him like a blanket and his fingers stop moving. Michael stares at them in betrayal]
