 I don't get it.  Why am I so depressed and angry all of a sudden?  I thought I was over this.

Same. And I've had things on my mind that... puzzle me. Stuck in my head as it were and not the normal stuff that gets jammed up in there.

Teenage angst I know. My sister thinks she's a psychologist and she's made a point of lecturing me in far too much detail about the healthy adolescent psyche.

This is something different. [He's almost think Spectra was hanging around somewhere if he wasn't sure she was still recovering from their last encounter.]

Could be lots of things. Personally, I'm betting on ghost attack.

Easily. Some of them feed off negative emotions. So they've figured out how to create them.

Sort of but not... [How does he say this without sounding like a prat? That he's feeling emotions that seem a little - juvenile to him? An angsty teenager?] I guess you could call them traces of my 'misspent' youth.

[Granted, the emotions he was feeling were a welcome change from the dark hole he had been in and he didn't feel the compulsion to spend another day going through endless files but - something was wrong.]

That, and I can't stop thinking about Christmas. It's August where I am. I'm getting a little annoyed that Christmas is trudging all over my late summer.

That's more or less how I feel right now - about Christmas - only I've never felt it before the holidays or in this way before. Can't seem to shake it. [quieter, more to himself] And then this resentment bit... What's all that about?

I see. Never heard of ghosts being able to do that. Then again, I'm woefully underinformed about ghosts and their activities in general.
