[The video opens up the image of Reimu sitting on the open steps of her shrine, a paper fan in her hand, and a small jug of water beside her. Seems relatively normal, right?

Nope.

Because almost everywhere, around Reimu, but especially heavy higher up, is a thick red mist. It flits in and out--sometimes it's only as if someone dumped fruit punch powder in the air, sometimes it's like seeing her through a filter, sometimes you can't see anything but red at all.]

Of course, I don't get a break, that would be silly. [She puts a hand up through the mist, but of course can touch nothing--it's just mist.] I wonder where this stuff came from. It's so troublesome. It's evening now, but during the day, you can't even see the sun. I'm afraid the villagers will get all panicked. Some of the crops might die if it gets the chance to reach past these mountains.

I tried blowing it away with a wind spell, but it's not really my specialty...I think I might have to kill it from the source.

Well, finding the cause of all this is a shrine maiden's job (isn't it?). [She gets up, and positions the camera view to a spot behind her, where a shining blue lake can be seen, a very tiny-looking house around it. The mist seems to be thickest there.] Doesn't it look suspicious?

Ara, ara...I should probably head off before I hear screams.

[With that, Reimu shuts off the video feed. Or, you know, so she thinks. Because Reimu's "computer"? Yeah, they don't really have computers in Gensokyo, so lucky for her, hers takes the form of a large gemstone, of which she's taken to wearing around her neck like a pendant. And if anything is to be said about Reimu's style of fighting...it's flashy. Which means, conveniently, the feed gets turned back on for a portion of where she happens to be headed.]

 ???: Ah, the cleaning isn't getting anywhere! The mistress will be angry with me!!


???: You're getting in the way of my cleaning again.

Reimu: You! ...don't seem to be the owner.

Sakuya: What is it? Are you a guest of the mistress?

Reimu: (She probably won't let me pass if I tell her that I came to defeat her mistress.)

Sakuya: You may not pass. The mistress rarely meets with people.

Reimu: Is she being imprisoned here?

Sakuya: My mistress likes dark places.

Reimu: Then a not-so-dark person like you will do. You're the ones spreading this mist all over the place, right? It's a nuisance. What are you trying to do?

Sakuya: Daylight bothers my mistress. She prefers darkness.

Reimu: But I don't. Could you stop?

Sakuya: Tell that to the mistress herself.

Reimu: Then call her here.

Sakuya: ...and why would I allow the mistress to face danger?

Reimu: Will she come if I cause trouble here?

Sakuya: You've already caused enough. Even so, you cannot meet with my mistress. If needs be, I could just stop the time itself to stall you.

<lol let's fight>

Reimu: So, you'll let me meet with the mistress, I believe?

Sakuya: She's strong...But maybe the mistress can...

Sakuya: I've got to at least make you waste a bomb before the mistress gets mad at me!

Reimu: Can't you be quiet and go run some errands?

Reimu: Isn't it about time you showed yourself? "Mistress"?

Reimu: Don't worry, one doesn't make me a mass murderer.

Reimu: Oh, right. There's a problem. You.

Remilia: How short-minded. And I don't even understand the reason.

Reimu: Anyway, could you leave?

Remilia:  Isn't this my castle? You are the one who should leave.

Reimu: I want you to leave this world.

Remilia: Looks like it can't be helped. And to think, I'm already full...

Reimu: Didn't you hire that maid to protect you? I can take a sheltered girl like you down in one go!

Remilia: Sakuya is an excellent cleaner. Thanks to her, not a single head has rolled.

Reimu: Are you strong?

Remilia:  I wouldn't know. I'm not let outside often. It's because I'm weak to sunlight.

Reimu  ... Now she's talking.

Remilia: As the moon is so scarlet, I shall thus kill you for good.

Reimu: Although the moon is so scarlet...

Remilia:  Looks like it's going to be a fun night. 
Reimu:  Looks like it's gonna be a long night.

Yes. Every couple of months.

So what was the cause of that red mist?

You didn't hear? It was that little vampire brat.

[starblaze]

It looks like she didn't mean any serious harm.

[lotuslegend]

Maybe, but she was still being an entitled little brat. [A beat.] Plus if she'd done it for a few more days, crops in the village could have started dying. And the villagers would have panicked and ran around like headless chickens.

[starblaze]

Was she planning to make it last longer than necessary, though?

'Busy' is sugarcoating things.

I don't know, it doesn't really matter what kind of business exactly you're involved with. Busy is busy no matter what.

You'd be surprised at how much I end up arguing just that in this place.

It can be nice to have some frivolity.

Frivolous might be a slightly weird way to describe it, but sure. If you enjoy that sort of thing that much, I won't judge you.
