Accidental Video: Post Canon move!

[The video focuses on James, on-deck of a ship. He's wearing boots, a pair of white breeches, and (MNSFW) no shirt. It's a pretty nice view, except for the twisted knot of scar tissue on his left shoulder. Enjoy, community.

And he's seated before a bucket of soapy water. Spread out on the rail beside him is a dark blue coat, unadorned, and beside it is a small pile of white and gold trim. In his lap is a mess of white linen, tinged pink. He sighs, letting it heap on the deck as he glares at it. Finally, he speaks to someone off screen.]

I think I'll have to impose upon you for a shirt. I managed to salvage the coat, but this is barely fit for scrap.

[He balls it up, squeezing the water back into the bucket and shaking the shirt out. There's a faded red stain on the shoulder that seems to line up with the scar on his shoulder. With a disgusted look, he balls it up again and dumps it in the bucket. After a moment, he picks up the pile of trim and carries it over to the railing, giving one last look before he lets it fall into the ocean.]

[Alexia has seen and heard people being revived from being nearly dead before, but in those instances the change was done quickly. It had been much, much longer for James and Alexia had been quick certain no one had been there to save him in time.

In other words, she has very mixed feelings about this post.]

What is he saying? He's on this ship, and he, and Will, have (or had) community access. Of course the community taped this.]

[After a moment, he finds it, and gets the camera focused on his face. It's pretty evident that this is just as painful for him as it is for Alexia -- he hesitates when the video of her comes up, looking almost uncertain for a moment.]

Before you start yelling at me, I had every intention of coming to see you. I thought it would be a rather good idea to find clothes, first.

[In his shock, Randolph doesn't realize it's recording before he abandons ship (figuratively) and goes to find a drink. A very strong one.

James can't be back, that's ridiculous. Of course the others came back, but- god...]

God damn it all, this was not how he wanted Randolph to find out. That moment of panic was all to clear, and it makes James's heart ache to think that he caused that pain even for a second.

It's worse to think that Randolph might not want him back... might not be able to forgive him. He hesitates before speaking. Maybe it would be better just to pretend he hadn't seen, but -- he has to know.]

[Randolph is back with a mug of heavily doctored tea, his panic overlaid with a slightly hysterical veneer of calm.]

It seems the report of your death- the sight of your death was greatly exaggerated.

[He can't help watching the feed, his eyes fixed on James's face like it is the only thing he ever wants to see again.]
