You would never do something like that without a reason.
[ A kind voice resounded in his head, as blades clashed just inches from his face, each strike narrowly being deflected by the sword in his hand. He couldn't believe what was happening before his eyes. Before him, attacking him, was a girl, dressed in all white, her light, short pink hair blowing with each swift movement she made. Her green eyes, her whole facial expression, was lifeless. Even as she stood before him, this wasn't the girl he knew. He couldn't believe this. The blood red atmosphere around them sent gusts that almost seem to flow with their dance. He could hear the cries from behind him, his fellow party members, all too defeated to fight anymore, begging for this to stop. He didn't know how he was keeping up anymore. ]
If you ever end up pointing your sword at me, I’m sure I will have done something to deserve it.
[ There that voice went again. Her voice. The words she had said to him before. She swiped for this side, as Yuri moved again to block it. He couldn't bring himself to strike back. This wasn't supposed to be happening. Even with her expressionless body, signs of fatigue were beginning to show on her. She was at her limit too, but she couldn't stop. It wasn't in her control. And all he could do was clench his teeth in pure anger and frustration. He was helpless to do anything. If this was anyone else, he knew he could win. He knew he could fight back, he could strike them down. Ragou, Cumore, Yeager, Flynn, anyone else! But-
Why her? ]
You understand, don't you? Save who you can.
[ He was hearing things. It wasn't her voice now. Male. Deep. But just as kind to him. Like it was trying to tell him this wasn't all his fault. That it was okay if he couldn't save everyone. But it wasn't. He couldn't save him before. And now he was beginning to think...he couldn't save her either. She sent a powerful blow now, right towards his torso, as he held up his own blade with both hands to stop it. They stood there, interlocked, her eyes staring back at him blankly as she opened her mouth. ]
Please.... [ Stop. ]
Before I hurt anymore people... [ Stop. ]
Please... [ The gusts of wind, the voices of his party, even the sound of his own heart beat racing, all began to die down. As all other noise went away, he wanted to tell her to stop. Everything went silent, as his eyes stared into hers, her voice almost a whisper now. ]
Kill me. [ His body reacted on it's own, as he gave a shove forward, throwing her strength off of him. He panted. He couldn't take anymore of this. The look of shock, of despair, that his face must have carried throughout this fight, left him. His eyes narrowed. A glare. Indifferent to the girl standing before him. All he could do now, was reply. ]
I'll set you free. [ And grant her one last wish. She ran towards him, her sword outstretched. And obvious, simple, predictable move. He easily dodged and countered, his eyes coldly locked onto hers, but just as lifeless, as if they did not want to register what was happening anymore. She stopped. Blood began to drip from her mouth, and down her white dress, as his sword went deeper and deeper through her chest. He grabbed onto her as she began to fall limp, carrying her weight, her own arm holding onto his as she dropped her weapon. He could feel something wet on his shoulder. She was crying, with a faint whisper. ]
Thank you. [ Her arm slowly lost it's grip, as his own grew tighter on her hold body. His emotionless eyes narrowed even further, though now, they were filled with something else. Regret. ]
...I'm sorry.

... Yuri?
( permavid. )
Why did she, of all people, need to see it? He leaned against the dark wall. Where ever he was, it wasn't well lit, and it was obvious night had fallen. He wasn't even looking at the camera when he replied, instead, staring off to some point in the room. His eyes looked blank, the moonlight coming in from a window playing off his expressionless face. ]
...Hey, Minatsuki. [ His voice sounded weak, quiet. There was almost no effort behind it. He didn't know if he wanted to even talk. He didn't know what to say. ]

she hates things like this these days. even i'm glad you're not dead sounds stupid. ]
If you want me to go, just say so. I'm not gonna be handing out any comfort or kind words.
no subject
It's fine... [ His voice trailed off, before he spoke again, quieter now. ]
Sorry. You had to see that.
no subject
Oh, please. It's a big deal to you, dipshit, not me. I've both seen and done worse than whatever the fuck was going on there.

Permavid;
[ The difference between fighting and killing a stranger, and fighting and killing a friend is important to her. For Utsuho, regret should only accompany the latter. ]

His eyes were closed, as if he was pretending to sleep, his face not looking at the camera. ]
...She was just someone I knew.

I'm just tired. [ He put his head against the darkened room's wall. There was no energy behind his voice. ] I'll get up later.

It's fine. [ His responses just felt so automatic now. He wasn't thinking. He didn't want to think. ]
There was no other way.
no subject
It's not fine, is it? Anyone could tell. But at the same time.. there's nothing to be done about it anymore.

It's fine. I'm just tired, right now. [ Again, with the automatic responses. ]
