I see we've had a virus full of despair and sadness. However, since people are not really dead [she assumes], I feel justified in saying that we could use a pick-me-up! Would you not agree? That is why I am organizing blind dates for the community.

For those who do not know how blind dates work, it is very simple! You may sign yourself up for one, or your friends may sign you up if they feel that you could use the experience. When the time comes, I will randomly select pairs to put together, and then I will arrange for you two to spend an entire day together! I will of course pick you up after the day is out, hopefully after a day full of merriment and getting to know someone new.

By the way, this need not be strictly romantic, so feel free to join even if you already have a beloved. After all, we could always use new friends, could we not?

The day I assign pairs and take you to your rendezvous will be in three weeks, on the 24th. That should be plenty of time to have all the people who might consider joining the event decide to take part.
