I don't know about the rest of you, but I hate dwelling on the bad. It's counterproductive and absolutely pointless most of the time. Some things you can't change no matter what you do so why worry about it?

[She exhales audibly. There's a clear effort to sound relaxed and cheerful now.] So now that's out of the way, my birthday is coming up. Normally this is the kind of thing I keep to myself, but with the way things have been I could use a day just for me. That is where the rest of you come in. I need some suggestions on how to spend it. Hit me with anything you've got.

[For anyone in Arthur's house, she's sitting down with some coffee in the kitchen. She's not exactly announcing her presence today since she's not all that sure she should be hanging out here today. Though eventually she'll be going up to knock on Ariadne's door to talk.]

Happy early b-day. [Blake could tell she sounded tense at first, but he couldn't figure out why.] I never cared much about it after my parents died but every year Father Reilly insisted that I should celebrate it somehow. I usually decided to do something I never tried before, like hang gliding.
