[There's a brief moment of hesitation before Elektra begins. Her voice is tight. Anyone who remembers the events of last year on this day may have an idea why. If not, chalk it up to that lovely virus. Watching people die and generally be miserable is a little depressing.]
I don't know about the rest of you, but I hate dwelling on the bad. It's counterproductive and absolutely pointless most of the time. Some things you can't change no matter what you do so why worry about it?
[She exhales audibly. There's a clear effort to sound relaxed and cheerful now.] So now that's out of the way, my birthday is coming up. Normally this is the kind of thing I keep to myself, but with the way things have been I could use a day just for me. That is where the rest of you come in. I need some suggestions on how to spend it. Hit me with anything you've got.
[For anyone in Arthur's house, she's sitting down with some coffee in the kitchen. She's not exactly announcing her presence today since she's not all that sure she should be hanging out here today. Though eventually she'll be going up to knock on Ariadne's door to talk.]

As for your birthday...I don't know. I don't usually do much for mine.

As for your birthday, how about a short holiday? Depending on where you go, they can be quite relaxing.

sent privately later:
Thank you.

[She'll address that thank you later... well more later. Elektra is trying to figure out what it's for because she's kind of dumb like that.]

I understand your philosophy but sometimes it's hard to let things go. Specially the bad things. [God, doesn't he know that.]
