So listen up. I'm throwing a party for Buffy, and you're invited. Friends preferably, but as long as you behave I'll allow it.

We're starting at BreadstiX, it's a restaurant, and then we're moving to mine. I convinced my mom to stay with her sister so we'll be fine.

[ And there's a pause, a small smile and a half-joking: ] And tip your waitress.

[ What, you're not all from her world ]

I don't disbelieve you, miss, but I am concerned about her.

Then again, you should come, keep an eye on her here.

I hardly think it would be proper.

We're having a meal, tell me how that's not proper?

I'm eighteen. [ So therefore no. But she goes here all the time ] There's going to be other people at the restaurant, I haven't booked the whole place. [ Because she couldn't ]

Yes. Precisely. I really don't think it would be right for me to attend.

And how do you figure that?

[chapter_behind]

It would be terribly improper of me to attend a gathering of young, unmarried women unchapheroned, to say nothing of the age difference between us. I understand the future has relaxed such social constructs, but I assure you, in my era it is still quite serious.

[formercheerio]

And who from your era would know? [ Cause you'd be in the future ] And it's not just women going.

The fact that you are not caught doing something dishonorable does not make the act itself less dishonorable.

How is having a meal with friends dishonourable?

Yeah, and I still don't get it. We're just eating, that's it. It's food.

General Italian, and you'll love it.

It sounds good at least. I do like Italian.

Great. I think the restaurant might have been upset otherwise. [ All these guests and all ] You should come to mind early.

[antibadstuff]

And an upset restaurant is a one that ends in horror stories that we never get to know about behind the scenes. How early?

And not wanting to let me in again. [ SHE KIDS ] An hour or so? [ For pre-party party and presents ]

Also a bad. [ She nods. ] I'll be there, barring apocalypse.

The apocalypse can just wait, this is happening.

[ She really hopes that's true. No apocalypse would be a decent day. ] You tell that hopefully not-impending apocalypse, Quinn.

You know, I think I might. And bring some stuff for the next day, too.

The next day?

Yeah, you know, the thing that happens after sleeping?

[antibadstuff]

Generally it does. [ Minus the not sleeping much part for Buffy. Even on good days she only gets a couple of hours. Vampires are jerks. ]

And I'm bringing stuff why?

So you have something to wear the next day?

[antibadstuff]

I can bring something, yeah.

[formercheerio]

Yeah, definitely. Especially after the whole resurrection thing.

That's partly why I'm doing it. I wanted to do it before but she said it was too soon.
