[oh look, a new face! however, unlike most newcomers' first posts, it looks like this is an intentional recording. it certainly looks like she knows what she's doing, anyways.]
Ah, there we go!
[she holds whatever she's using to communicate in front of her at arms length; slim black feathered wings protruding from her back come into view. the winged girl is perched high up in a tree. distant mountains and more treetops are visible around her.]
A community that spans across different worlds... a perfect pool for all sorts of interesting news and gossip, just as I'd imagined! I can't say I was expecting to find something like this when I picked up this item that fell in from the outside world. What an incredible stroke of luck~ [she folds in her wings and sits back against the trunk of the tree.]
Ahh, where are my manners? I am Aya Shameimaru, reporter and photographer for the Bunbunmaru Newspaper of Gensokyo. I don't expect any of you to have heard of it. Well, one of you should have, at least. [cough lazy armpit miko cough.]
Anyways, why don't you all tell me something about yourselves or your worlds? But let's make this a challenge- I only want to hear something that would be worthy of the front page! Don't bother introducing yourselves with names. You see, I've taken the liberty of browsing through posts on the community beforehand to familiarize myself with as much of this as possible; I already know who most of you are.
[Aya balances the recording device in front of her and flips open a notebook, pen at the ready. two crows suddenly fly down and perch on a branch above her head. one of them hops down onto her shoulder and lightly pecks her ear, but Aya only acknowledges it with a brief tilt of her head.]
One more thing- I'd love to have a worldhop device of my own or someone to teach me to travel between worlds. Name your price for either and we can negotiate. Of course, currency obviously isn't an option here but I'm sure you can think of some other method of payment.
Now then! Everyone share something interesting about yourselves, please!

Let's see. Things got quite intense toward the end. The Marquess had actually sent out knights looking for his granddaughter before the coup, and when the brother succeeded in taking control, he had her declared an impostor and the knights oathbreakers. Had all the other Caelin knights out after them, though I suspect some of them regretted it when General Wallace came out of retirement on the granddaughter's side.
What was it he said again...? "A giant walks among you! Come, break your weapons against me!"

Oh, right. That dumb gossip rag. She'd heard of it being popular amongst the youkai, and frankly, wanted it gone, but it had never actually done anything incident-worthy. There goes her motivation.]
Welcome to the network, I suppose.
