I can't believe my dad. This was supposed to be vacation and he brings work? Would it kill him to just spend some time not being evil?

But he could at least not be actively evil for a week or something.

Well, in my experience, those who are 'evil' tend to not to be able to really focus on anything else.

... Well, people or creatures I guess since they weren't human, that wanted to completely destroy everything in existence.

So it's not the exact same situation, since your Dad doesn't seem to want to do that, at least.

No. It's more of a complete takeover thing with him.

And this is his job? Instead of him being crazy and deciding one day to take over the world? He actually gets paid for this?

Well, he's not paid, but he treats it like a job.

Oh. Do you have any idea why he started doing this?

He's got a million and one back stories about it. Most of it comes from his parents liking my uncle better, or something.

... I'm guessing I shouldn't even try to think about how that makes any sense.

Though if he keeps trying to take over stuff, you'd think the police would've arrested him by now...

The regular police don't really get involved. There's a secret agent who always ends up stopping him, though.

And... this secret agent doesn't do the arresting instead of the police?

No. Just stops him.

It's not like Dad's very good at being evil anyway.

... He still manages to kidnap people though.

Perry will show up soon. That guy's his boss I think.

Just how often does he stop your father?

Pretty much every day.

... I guess they don't think he's really all that evil, or at least good at it, if they let him still run around after stopping him that often.

He's really not that good at it.

Still, you wouldn't think that would be an excuse to leave him running around trying it.

At the very least, you'd think they'd at least try to get him some help so he could stop being evil, if they don't think he belongs in jail.

It's just kind of their thing. I try to stay out of it.

Honestly, that really seems like the easiest way to deal with it right now.

It is. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to even convince my mother that he's evil.

In her defense, they are divorced so it's not like they're in the same space.

It's still pretty ridiculous, though.

Who knows? He has all of these elaborate back stories, but he doesn't seem really evil in any of them.
