Canon update -- Video

*The video is kind of blurred, probably because Auron is running while he's talking.*

Roxas? That way out of here sounds like a good...

*The book, his connection to the community, flies out of his hands. An ominous voice is heard saying.* Well THERE you are! I've been looking everywhere for you!

*The connection goes dead. It revives some time later with Auron being less than pleasant to people he already knew. Well, if the Lord of the Dead sucked your will right from you and turned you into a puppet to kill someone, you'd be less than yourself, wouldn't you?

Auron has set his book aside to warm up for his big match. There's just something...wrong with the look in his single eye.* ...and when I kill him and anyone who interferes, Lord Hades will set me free.

*Auron sets down his sword to look in the book. That driving spark of whatever that makes up Auron -- the will, the stubbornness, the drive -- it's GONE.*

Who are you? Have you come to watch the fighting?

[No...

Had he been there, Tidus might be staggering back, shock, horror, and then outrage all flashing over his face.]

What did he do to you?!

Hades is going to make me free. Everyone can watch it happen.

He's lying to you, Auron. He's just using you!

He's the lord of everything in the Underworld. I have to obey if I'm going to be free. *Whatever Hades has done to him, it's completely sapped his will.*

Excuse me. What the fuck?

Another person. Who are you? Have you also come to watch me win? *There's just no sign of any recognition. Or will. Or anything that usually makes Auron himself.*

Uh. I came to knock your ass on the ground. What the fuck d'you think you're doin?

*He sneers* How boastful for a complete stranger.

I'm going to be set free. Lord Hades is going to give me freedom.

See, you had freedom. Hades enslaved you in the first place.

I have crimes I committed. They need to be erased. *It seems like talking with Auron is not going to work. He just isn't listening.*

Uhuh. Listen, red, sit your ass down and stay put. I'm comin'.

Fine. I have a match I have to win. *He picks up his sword and walks off*

Hey. If you promise to shut up and stop being a pain in my Tower, I'll help you rescue him.

[WE HAVE SOME FATE TO SCREW]

Ok, good, let's get this started before he does something he'll regret later. Get your posterior in motion!

You're not rescuing him without me!

[He's brainwashed enough lolis to know where this is going.]

Another stranger. Are you here to watch the fight too?

It's a match. Don't die on me while I'm getting there; corpses are boring to fight.

*The Underworld was about as cheerless and tastelessly decorated as you would think. A massive door lay up a rocky path, an insanely high stairwell to someplace lighter led behind and to the left was a lake with a large lighted building.

There were also three people just staring at the arrivals. Sora, Donald and Goofy looked a little confused while they were working on their rescue plans for Auron.*

[Jecht wasn't a big fan of plans. He was more a fan of getting shit done.]

C'mon, let's get this show on the road.

[His "plan" is simple. Get Auron. Drag him back. Hit him on the head a couple times 'till he cooperates.]

[A little creeped out by his surroundings, Tidus tries not to show that and waves at Sora.]

That's...really spiky hair.

Show. Right. Let's take down the person doing this so that hopefully Auron will be back to normal!

*Sora perks up at the mention of Auron. He and his friends explain what they saw happen. They're going to get Auron's will from Hades' palace and Hercules was going to keep Auron distracted in the fight to give them enough time to get the will. But maybe it would be easier if Hercules had help fending off Auron?*

I can do that. I can try seeing if there's an object on him that's causing the brainwashing, too.

[Kefka's here and ready to fight. He's got his hair up so no hair pulling can ensue in the arena and he's brought a mace ]

If not, my status magic should be able to slow him down. Slow, Blind and Imp can really slow a person down. Unless you want me to help with the rescue part? I'm good at anything and everything!

[kefka this is a rescue not a dating service stop showing off]

*Sora and his friends decide it'd be better for people to slow Auron down while they hurry up and retrieve Auron's will. Sora, happy that Auron has more friends than just him, leaves it in their hands and they all run off in the direction of Hades' palace, leaving the party free to figure out how to get to the large building in the middle of the lake.*

[Well, fuck that. Jecht can swim. Can't the rest of you losers?

He grins at Tidus before jumping into the lake. This is something the two of them can kick ass at.]

Hey, freak, you need a ride?

[Tidus just stares at Kefka. He's not sure how to respond to that.]

That's...good. Just do what you think you should do.

[Smirking at Jecht, he dives in the lake, resurfacing.]

Bet I can hold my breath longer than you.

What--?

[ wait. this seems - didn't this--? argh. of course, how could he have been so stupid? he thought he'd been forgetting something, but his memories of being within Sora get so hazy that--

his hands clench into loose fists at his side. ] He won't do it, you know.

You don't know that. Maybe if I do a good job, I can finally be free.

I know some of the stuff he's done before. He's just tricking you. It's pointless!
